Lipscomb Team Camp Notes (New Faces)

<p>After watching several hours of basketball at the Lipscomb Team Camp I wanted to share a few team-driven thoughts while mentioning prospects who are newer to Prep Hoops.</p> <p>In no particular order, these are the teams I personally evaluated.</p> <h5><strong>C.P.A. </strong></h5> <h5><strong>York Institute</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Webb School-Bell Buckle</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Center Hill (MS)</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Campbell (GA)</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Hendersonville</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Brentwood Academy (no Marcus Fitzgerald or Randy Brady)</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Monroe County</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Springfield</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Lipscomb Academy</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Pickett County</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Huntland</strong></h5> <h5><strong>Marietta (GA)</strong></h5> <hr /> <p>These three prospects showed strong potential earlier this month.  </p> <h6><strong>Jordan DeWalt (2021) | G | C.P.A.</strong></h6> <p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">C.P.A. will bring along their younger players this off-season.  Stars like Braeden Moore and Braden Zapp have larger roles and more responsibility.  One unsung player making a splash this month is Jordan DeWalt.  Standing a little over 6-foot-0 tall, DeWalt is unabashed slashing. He can finish against modestly-sized trees.  DeWalt adds a different wrinkle to very strong outside shooting unit.  </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">This may be an extremely inside baseball comparison, but Belmont traditionally played face-up four men with passing/shooting guards.  One disruptive slasher, Kevin McClain, changed the entire dymanic of their program the last few years.  McClain and DeWalt are similar in their brave attacking approach.  When a team operates with the wonderful spacing such as C.P.A. and Belmont under Rick Byrd gifted slashers find gaping lanes to utilize.  DeWalt can have a big season for this reason. </span></p> <h6><strong>Khi Harris (2022) | G | Webb School </strong></h6> <p>Webb-Bell Buckle brings back as much scoring punch as any team in DII-A,  Keon Johnson and JJ Platt are very well known.  Respected, but less heralded is Khi Harris.  He played well against a feisty and technically sound Upperman team.  Harris moves well and likes to help under the basket.  His window for scoring will be relatively small, but his capacity to score takes pressure of the starting seniors.</p> <h6><strong>Riley Cooper (2021) | Wing | York Institute</strong></h6> <p>Think Ron Artest.  Cooper clatters with anybody and plays constantly scrappy.  Aggressive. Good feet. Makes a different with energy every time.  Impacts the game in a big way all over the floor.  LOVES contact.  Initiates contact with anyone.  Cooper is the kind of player that inspires effort.  When shots are not falling his effort will be effective in encouraging the team.  Passion is difficult to quantify, but it unequivocally impacts a game and a season.  Cooper is passionate.</p> <p><em>Follow @courtneyhoops90 and @PrepHoopsTN  for the latest.</em></p>
