UCM Team Camp: Top Teams

<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continued his June Team Camp Tour at the University of Central Missouri Shootout in Warrensburg. Here is a look at the top teams at the UCM Team Camp,</p> <h3>Class 5</h3> <p>Lee’s Summit West: The Titans showcased a very talented and athletic group on Friday. They look the part of a team that will make a lot of noise in 2020. They are led by 6’3 2020 point guard Tayven Glasgow, a fundamentally sound floor leader who can control a game with his scoring and passing. 6’2 2020 guard Colby Baggett is another talented floor leader who can score. The 2020 frontcourt trio of 6’5 Josh Butler, 6’5 Tyren Brennan and 6’6 Elisha Haynes can all impact a game. </p> <p>Blue Springs: The Wildcats have some impressive young talent to build around, including three talented 2022 performers in 5’8 point guard Kyle Bruce, 6’3 southpaw shooter Braden Applehans and 6’4 physical forward Ike Ezeogu. A trio of 2021s who also showed well are 6’7 post Eli Wingert, 6’3 athlete Najee Williams and athletic wing Xavier Loyd.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Class 4</h3> <p>Grandview: The two-time state champions showcased one of the camp’s top prospects in 6’7 2022 forward Taj Manning, who already has a poised all-around game. Talented 2020 guard Reggie Morris sat out the final day to rest an ankle injury, so stepping in for some valuable game experience were 2021 point guard Jordan McGee, 2020 guard Cam Smith and 2021 forward Damien Stephens.</p> <p>St Joe Lafayette: The Fighting Irish are coming off a district championship season in 2019. They have an impressive forward in 6’4 2020 Kolten Griffin, who can score on the bounce and crash the offensive boards. 2020 guard TJ Alexander has shifty moves off the bou</p> <p>Confluence: The Titans have travelled to all corners of the state in June. They closed out the week in style as they rallied from a 21 point deficit to defeat Hillsboro. 6’4 2020 forward looked explosive with his versatile skill set. 6’2 2020 guard Caleb Helm can impact a game at both ends while 6’0 2022 point guard Tresean White lived in the lane against dribble penetration.</p> <p>Hillsboro: The Hawks will have another talented and well balanced unit for next season. The frontcourt is anchored by 6’7 2020 Evan Worley while the backcourt leadership is provided by 5’9 2020 point guard Mark Moore. 6’2 2020 Ethan Worley and 6’3 2021 Zach Whaley are very solid on the wings.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Class 3</h3> <p>Festus St Pius X: The Lancers won 20 games and played for a district championship last season and most of those key pieces are back. 6’7 2020 forward Riley Naeger can get buckets in the post and pass the ball well. 5’ 8 2020 point guard Kayden Cook is quick and can shoot while 6’2 2020 guard Jason Ruble is a versatile wing player.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Class 2</h3> <p>Eugene: The Eagles have rebuilt around the talents of 6’3 2020 guard Tre Kempker, who has added a  3-point stroke to go along with his impressive slashing and passing. 5’9 2022 guard Tyler Renn is a solid young player while 6’6 2021 forward Kyle Bond showed some nice things.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
