As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.
Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Darrien Holloway, 5’11, G, 2020, Osborne
A physical guard with great speed and finesse. He is a team-first player who can handle the ball as a point and step into a scoring position if he needs to. He has a good shot and good ball control when he drives. A two-sport athlete who can bring the physicality of the field to the hardwood.
Brant Morris, 6’3, G/F, 2020, Baxter Springs
Has a great eye for ball movement and can force turnovers inside the paint and around the top of the key. Morris is a do everything player who may not always fill out a stat sheet, but is an important player on the floor. A guy who rebounds block shots forces turnovers and can score around the basket.
Knowledge McPerson, 5’9, G, 2020, Southeast, NLHA 17 SILMON
A nice guard who has quickness and brings a lot of energy to the floor. He has a good motor and can stay with his man on defense and is good at directing traffic and he has a lot of heart. A player with a vision who can pass and shoot.
Steele Wolters, G, 2020, Osborne
A good shooter who makes the right play with the ball. He can drive and get to the basket and he looks to make smart passes inside around the block or to the high post. He can stop on a dime and pull up around the free throw line. He’s also good at finding space and he knows how to keep his distance if a taller player is around him and looking to force a mistake.
Jack Nilles, 2020, Andale, NLHA 17 Silmon
Nilles has good athleticism and is quick and moves well on the floor. He can play off the ball and can handle the ball some and has the confidence to shoot when he has the open look.
