Prospect Spotlight: Jordan Brathwaite (2020)
Jordan Brathwaite had a productive weekend in DC with New World this weekend. The versatile forward spoke with Prep Hoops about his overall game and much more during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your game?
JB: “Me being 6’6, I add a lot of size and length to the game. I can go up there and get rebounds both on the offensive and defensive end. That impacts the game, and that’s what I do. I can also score. I focus on running the floor. That’s how I get most of my points. I’ve got a pretty good mid range jump shot and I’ve been working on my threes, so that’s been coming along too.”
PH: What’s underrated about your game?
JB: “I’d say my defense.”
PH: How well would you say you can defend on the perimeter?
JB: “This year was really my first year guarding perimeter players. It’s a learning experience, but I’m just going to keep working and I think I’ll get better.”
PH: How are your grades?
JB: “Pretty good. I’ve got a 3.0 GPA.”
PH: Are you planning to prep into 2021 after graduating?
JB: “I might be. My parents and I are thinking about it.”
PH: Who’s recruiting you now?
JB: “Marymount a little, but that’s it.”
PH: What can you bring to a college program?
JB: “I think I can bring my size. I really emphasize on rebounding and I think I can bring that to a college program.”
