Bossier Summer League and Neville Team Camp Previews

<p>The grassroots season, which has been the focal point of the basketball world the last two months, will come to a slow grind beginning this week. While there are still other tournaments going on, summer leagues and team camps of high school teams will take precedence. The Bossier Summer League and Neville team camp begin play today and tomorrow with some of the marquee teams in north Louisiana. We will take a look at teams from each event and preview what we may see from them.</p> <p><strong>Bossier Summer League</strong></p> <p></p> <p>The Bossier Summer League begins today with five matchups with Bossier playing in three of them.  Along with Bossier, there is district rival Woodlawn, North Caddo, and the Lobos of Longview.  Today's best contest will assurdly be the 4:40 game between Woodlawn and Bossier.  Woodlawn will be led by <strong>Delatrion Moton (6'4", 2021) </strong>and <strong>Michael Jones (6'6", 2020).  </strong>Moton may get to dust off some of his point guard skills with the absence of his brother, Tramichael, who has moved on to Grambling.  Bossier has a dynamic senior duo in <strong>D'Ante Bell (6'8")</strong> and <strong>Cody Deen (5'9")</strong>.  All of these players have been playing on the grassroots circuit with Bell and Deen playing this past weekend during the EYBL tournament in Dallas.  Look for a lot of action during the day between these four teams. </p> <p><strong>Neville Team Camp</strong></p> <p>Northeast Louisiana will have their heavy hitters playing in the four day team camp at Neville High School in Monroe.  West Monroe and Carroll will kick off the action on Tuesday as the first of 16 game lineup.  Each day will see 16 games with a playoff format on Day 4.  Most of the all-district and all-state performers for each team will be in the building. </p> <p>Super sophomore and returning pot threat for West Monroe, <strong>Jadais Richard (6'2, 2022) </strong>will be one of the leaders of a West Monroe offense that is trying to bounce back from a second round loss during the playoffs.  Senior <strong>Quatarious Jones (6'6)</strong>, and his expanded offensive game, will attempt to follow in the footsteps of Tyler Washington leading the Delhi Bears.  6'8" junior <strong>Collin Belton </strong>and the Ruston Bearcats will also be in the mix and should be an improved team over last year.  All-district performer <strong>Patrick McCraney (5'11", 2022) </strong>will be the focal point of the host's Tigers offense as they start team camp play.  Ouachita will have a new point guard as Paul King has moved on to college.  Sharpshooter <strong>Charquez Owens</strong><strong> (6'2", 2020)</strong> will definitely be one of the Lions leaders on both sides of the ball.   </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2018/08/Kalep-Crane.jpg"></a></p> <p>Simsboro's all-state players <strong>Calep Krane (6'1, 2020)</strong> and <strong>Jakemin Abney (6'3", 2020) </strong>lead the class C champions into summer action and will look to improve their team chemistry. Other teams that will be participating at the Neville team camp will be Northwood and Woodlawn of Shreveport, Sterlington, Rayville, Bastrop, Tensas, New Living Word, Union Parish, and Franklin Parish.  </p> <p>When I say there will be plenty of talent in the gyms and these two schools, it is not an understatement.  Check out the team camp action this week.  </p>
