WCE Spring Kick Off 17U

<p>With the first LIVE Period in the books we take a look at the teams from Utah that made the trek to Southern California to showcase their talents at the WCE Elite Spring Showcase. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>17U</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Utah Mountain Stars/Jimmer Elite</span>: To everyone's surprise there was a name change during the tournament but it didn't mater 17U Utah Mountain Stars had a great showing going 4-0. They had a few close games but they were eventually able to pull away to comfortable wins. </p> <p>63-54 vs. Powerhouse Hoops Black</p> <p>69-58 vs. WCE San Diego</p> <p>66-56 vs. WCE Martin</p> <p>74-47 vs. Nor Cal Tar Heels</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">UBC Elite</span>: Had some bright spots despite going 1-3. Stone Hutchings and Kase Petersen had good showings. Look fo rthem to continue to improve as they build game chemistry. </p> <p>40-55 vs, FOH Seattle</p> <p>60-56 vs. Vegas Elite</p> <p>60-68 vs. Elite Prep</p> <p>54-66 vs. BTI Select</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Salt Lake Bounce</span>: This high academic team surprised everyone going 4-0. They look most impressive with their style of defense. They were lead by Cameron Millican, Tyler Roberts and Jake Howe.</p> <p>66-23 vs. SDA Soilders</p> <p>48-36 vs Stanco Stampede</p> <p>65-37 vs. Top Flight Elite</p> <p>62-38 vs. Veritas</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">FINAO Hoops</span>: With a mixture of players from 16U to 17U this team was able to finish 2-2</p> <p>37-55 vs. Stanco Stanpede</p> <p>69-68 vs. Bobcats</p> <p>37-43 vs, City LYFE Basketball</p> <p>51-46 vs. Branch West Select</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Salt Lake Rebels Black</span>: The Rebels had a good showing by going 3-1. Three of their games were decided by 8 points or less. This is great experience moving forward.
