The first live period is officially over and it was quite a busy one in Atlanta.

I took in a full slate of games Friday-Sunday at the HoopSeen Atlanta Jam and there was plenty of talent to scout.

Here is a look at the second part of the top performer list.

ICYMI:

Part 1

Part 2

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Maleek Huggins (Southeast/Team Speights)

Consistency is always on the side for 2021 5'11" Southeast guard Maleek Huggins. He guides Team Speights 16U and he does it in a very mature manner. A dual-threat quarterback for his football team, Huggins has blazing speed, good court awareness and a very reliable jumper. The sky is the limit for him whether he chooses for football or basketball to play at the next level.

Ven-Allen Lubin (Orlando Christian Prep/Team Parsons)

The Team Parsons 15U squad is one that has endless potential. The 2022 6'5" Orlando Christian Prep Ven-Allen Lubin showed flashes during the high school season and this weekend, he was superb playing up against 16U competition. This kid is long, determined and a very gifted mid-range shooter. Allen Lubin is going to carve out a name for himself this summer and Division I schools will be watching him closely.

Joe Bamisile & Jordan Sears (Virginia Monocan/Team Parsons)

2020 duo Joe Bamisile and Jordan Sears are solid and intelligent athletes for the deep and steady Team Parsons 17U group. Bamisile, the 6'4" Virginia Monocan guard committed to Northwestern earlier this year. He is a sneaky good athlete and one that loves to get on the break and attack the rim. Bamisile told me how excited he was to go to Northwestern and not only play basketball but get a great education as well. As for Sears, the 5'11" Mainland guard was the pacesetter all weekend long with his vocal leadership and smart handles.

Nick Silva & David Perez (Miami Tropics)

There was plenty of fight in the Miami Tropics in Atlanta. 2020 6'9" Miami Christian forward Nick Silva was really good all weekend long. He is a heads up passer for a big man and can move well in the paint. He also shoots well from the mid-range. Silva certainly boosted his stock plenty. Alongside him for the Tropics was 2020 6'1" Riviera Prep guard David Perez. He was the lead man for this group, showing his strength, quiet leadership and overall IQ.

Ramses Melendez (Central Pointe Christian/Team Parsons)

There is no coincidence that 2021 6'6" Central Pointe Christian guard Ramses Melendez has earned college coaches attention as of late. UF and Oklahoma State extended offers earlier this month and his confidence is at an all-time high. A very gifted attacker, Melendez made plays early and often for the Team Parsons 16U group playing up in 17U competition.

2021 Central Pointe Christian G Ramses Melendez finesses his way inside for a bucket. @MelendezRamses @TeamParsonsCP25 @CPCAhoops pic.twitter.com/0QDG7p3xha
— ᴊᴀᴋᴇ ᴘᴇʀᴘᴇʀ (@JakePerper) April 30, 2019

Jake Charske & Jalen Cooper (Forest/Tampa Bayhawks)

For the Tampa Bayhawks 17U team, winning was on its side in Atlanta. 2020 6'3" Forest guard Jake Charske continues to pour it on from outside at a very high clip. 2020 6'6" Anclote guard Jalen Cooper showed off his strength, shooting and all-around upside. The Bayhawks are a smart group and Charske and Cooper are able to mix it up by scoring in a variety of ways.
