<p>Jack Souder is looking to put together a big spring and summer after helping Blue Valley North go 16-9 this past season and advance to the sub state championship game where they fell to Olathe North.</p>
<p>At 6’1, Souder can play either guard spot and says he takes pride in his defense and ability to push the ball in transition.</p>
<p>“I’m very comfortable with pushing the ball up in transition, knocking down threes, and looking for the open man,” he says. “I’m very competitive, and I want to be the best defender in the court at all times.”</p>
<p>Souder is running with Team KC this summer after playing with the KC Spurs in the past.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>He helped Blue Valley North go 16-9 this past season and advance to the sub state championship game where they fell to Olathe North.</p>
<p>He says his biggest influence on his basketball career has been his dad.</p>
<p>“He pushes me to work hard and tells me to always go to the gym to work on my game when I have time,” Souder says.</p>
<p>A fan of NBA guard Kyrie Irving and Frank Mason, Souder says he appreciates the way both players attack the basket.</p>
<p>“They drive the the basketball like nobody else and they take pride in their defense,” he says.</p>
