Recruiting Update: Anthony Felder (2020)

First off his size, standing 6’6 with a next-level (and still developing) physique and tremendous length. Next would be his athleticism and explosion around the rim. But this AAU season Felder hopes to add versatility to the list of attributes that he brings to the court.</p> <p>“At the next level I will probably have to play the two or the three, so I will need to work adding more versatility to my game,” he stated.</p> <p>And even though he is unranked right now, expect that to change if Anthony continues to play the way he has to start his final AAU season.</p> <p><strong> </strong>During our interview Anthony mentioned that ball-handling and playing in the post, offensively and defensively, were two of the main areas that hoped to improve on this spring/summer. And after watching and hearing about his performances at the Bearcat Classic, it looks like he is well on his way to improving in both areas. As mentioned by fellow <strong>PHO writer Tony Peters, </strong>Felder scored in transition, with his back to the basket and off the bounce. And the skill set he showed over last weekend falls right in line with what Anthony stated were his strengths. “I am a great rebounder and shot-blocker that likes to slash to the rim,” he stated. “I had a game against West High this season were I had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 blocks.” And he actually slighted himself in regards to the final stat line for that game. According to the CMAC website Felder finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 8 blocks in that February 1^st contest. That was one of five double-doubles that Anthony had on the season.</p> <p>Health will also be a key factor for the Cincinnati Heat Premier forward as well. He dealt with a concussion and some knee issues that caused him to miss some time on the court during the regular season. But as he showed at the Bearcat Classic, when healthy he is one of the most explosive, versatile forwards in Southwest Ohio.
