Dean Reiber – 6’9 – 2020 – Team Loaded NC
Dean Reiber is one big man that should be on everyone’s radar this summer. He’s got solid hands in the post and around the rim on the offensive glass. Anything he catches in the paint is most likely a dunk. He also wasn’t shy about shooting from behind the arc, which is a shot he seems to be developing. Don’t be surprised if he has a big AAU season. He’s got offers from Charleston, High Point, Charlotte, Rice and Appalachian State.
Bryce Alfino – 6’4 – 2021- Team Charlotte
Bryce Alfino is set to have a big Spring and Summer alongside Jalen Hood-Schifino in the backcourt. He’s got length at his sie on the wing at 6-foot-4 and isn’t afraid to put the ball down and get to the rim. On defense, he’s looking to pressure the offense into turnovers and dunk on the fastbreak. Alfino doesn’t have any offers yet, but by the end of the AAU season, that should change.
Peyton Gerald – 6’6 – 2021 – Team Loaded 704
Peyton Gerald is a 6-foot-6 forward with tons of upside. He played sparingly for Ardrey Kell this past season but is due for a breakout summer on the AAU circuit. He’s got length at 6-foot-6 and versatility with his ability to handle and shoot the basketball.
On defense, he uses his size to his advantage whether guarding on the perimeter or in the post. He’s strong enough to play the 2-4 position on the floor if he can show he can knock it down consistently from behind the arc.
Kadyn Dawkins – 5’9 – 2021 – NC Cobras
Kadyn Dawkins is another one of those point guards that plays big. He shot 58 percent from 3-point range for his Eastern Guilford Varsity squad last season. He’s due for a big summer from behind the arc based on his performance this past weekend.
He was his team’s best scorer from behind the arc whether it came off the catch or off the dribble. He’s not scared to go amongst the trees either. He’ll be one to keep an eye on this summer on a non-shoe team.
Jadun Michael – 6’7 – 2021 – Team Loaded NC
Jadun Michael is playing up a level at 17U but didn’t show it with his aggressive style of play on both ends. He plays the interchangeable forward position with Josh Hall on the floor and did it quite well for their first weekend.
Michael is an athletic slasher that can also shoot it from behind the arc. On defense, he’s a solid defender and uses his size and strength as one of their many rim protectors in the paint. He’s got offers from UNC Greensboro and Hofstra.
Jeremy Gregory – 6’7 – 2022 – Team Charlotte
The only 2022 big man on the list, but he’s here for a reason. It’d be wise to jump on big man Jeremy Gregory early in the recruiting process as he’s got high major written all over him. He uses his size tremendously well on both ends, scoring at will in the paint on offense and protecting the rim on defense.
He led the way on offense in pretty much every game for his squad and did it while staying out of foul trouble. Look for his name to grow this season.
Sam Cogan – 6’4 – 2022 – Team Charlotte
Sam Cogan is another 2022 prospect off the Team Charlotte squad to keep an eye on. He’s a confident player with the ball in his hands. While he’s able to fill it up from behind the arc, he’s also able to get to the rim, take contact and score as well. Cogan has sneaky athleticism for a player of his build which makes for an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.
