Three Things I liked: SSSAS vs. Cape Henry

<p><em>ALEXANDRIA, VA</em> -- St. Stephens &amp; St. Agnes defeated Cape Henry by a final score of 79-45 in the VISAA Quarterfinals on Wednesday night. Below is a look at three things I liked from this contest.</p> <h2>CHARLES THOMPSON'S ENERGY</h2> <p>Cape Henry found it difficult to score, especially in the first half, and <strong>Charles Thompson</strong> had a lot to do with that. The long-limbed 6-foot-6 Towson commit was disruptive as a result of his quickness, instincts, and unrelenting motor. Thompson's energy was contagious, and he shared the ball with his teammates. He was the first one to congratulate a teammate when they made a play. Thompson was also the first to run over and help a fallen teammate up off the ground. This is the type of leadership that builds team chemistry and camaraderie.</p> <h2>DAJOUR RUCKER'S SKILLSET</h2> <p>While his teammates found it difficult to get into a rhythm, <strong>Dajour Rucker</strong> did not. The stocky 6-foot-6 Marshall commit showcased an impressive offensive arsenal. He used ball fakes and shot fakes to keep defenders off balance. Rucker showcased a quick release from the catch, and the ability to consistently knock down shots whether contested or not. He used the glass to his advantage, and exhibited confidence in his left hand as well. </p> <h2>XAVIER LIPSCOMB'S PLAYMAKING</h2> <p><strong>Xavier Lipscomb</strong> orchestrated the Saints offense to perfection, both in half court and in transition. The 6-foot-3 lefty demonstrated good court vision and the ability to deliver accurate passes to open teammates from a variety of angles and situations. Lipscomb also used his paint getting ability to drive and consistently draw defenders in so he could kick the ball out. He also wasn't afraid to make the simple, subtle, yet effective play; like a ball fake, or a post entry. </p>
