First of all we must give a huge congrats to Greenfield School, Fayetteville Academy, Carmel Christian and Greensboro Day for taking home state championship. We have selected a few names to highlight but we would like to congratulate all the players on a great season. Now let’s take a detailed look at some of the names on the All-State teams, some names you may know and others will be new to you.
Greenfield School Junior Creighton Lebo: There is just something different about the son of a coach, and we see that in Creighton. He can flat out burn the nets up with his shooting, but does so within the team game plan, he is a player that we feel can have a big time senior season which will only help his recruitment.
Northwood Temple Academy Senior Josh Nickleberry: The Louisville signee put up major buckets all season long, he has plenty of tricks in his bag offensively and helped lead his team to a state championship game. We know for a fact that he has a bright future and will be a player that has a very nice career on the next level.
The Burlington School Sophomore Jadun Michael: He’s still a young player but has an IQ for the game that is advanced for his age, he takes advantage of mismatches and attacks early. He has all the tools and upside to be a very special prospect if he continues to work and stays focused.
Greenfield School Junior Jacari Outlaw: One of the sleeper players prior to the season that has added some buzz to his name going into the spring. He has good size for a college prospect guard, can score the ball in multiple ways and has a chance to be a very good defender when he’s locked in.
Trinity Christian School Senior DJ Horne: Initially it seemed as if he was still finding his way with his new team but as time went on he got more comfortable and had some big time games. When he gets it going scoring wise, he’s a tough player to defend, he plays the game with a chip on his shoulder and loves to compete.
Trinity Christian School Senior Talton Jones: He’s been through quite a bit this season but he has fought through it all and was a huge part of TCS success. A pass first PG that can score the ball when he wants, his best assets are his passing and on ball defense as he was one of the top defenders in the area.
Greenfield School Junior Trey Pittman: A stretch forward player that fits right in with just about any team you place him on , he has a nice skillset and will be one that colleges like. He can mix it up inside to rebound the ball but also has the shooting ability to knock down the trey ball.
Community Christian School Junior Jimmy Forte: He has put up some monster numbers all season long, looking at his average of 31 points, 7 rebounds, 5 Assist and 3 steals, you have to be impressed. This spring and summer will be big for him as he will have a chance to compete against other top talent in the area.
