Pierce Hellums 6’2 SG / Concordia Lutheran / 2019 PHTX100
Had a slow start but quickly picked up the pace in the 2nd through 4th quarters. Especially in the 2nd half of the game he was unstoppable. Knocking down the long ball. He shot 5/9 from behind the arc. Getting to the rim and finishing. Really tough on ball defense where he came away with 4 steals and 5 deflected passes. Scored 19 of his 30 points total in the 2nd half. He is committed to Sam Houston State University.
Evan Palmquist 6’4 PG / Concordia Lutheran / 2019
Evan started out hot in the game. He had 8 points in the 1st quarter. He got into foul trouble quickly and sat out the 2nd quarter. Got to the rim and finished with ease. Blew by his defenders. Displayed his floor awareness were he dished 7 assist in the game. Got in there and rebounded also as he pulled down 5 boards. He shot 5/8 from the field and finished with 14 points in the game. He has two D1 offers from McNeese State and Naval Academy.
Broc Wisenbaker 6’5 F / Concordia Lutheran / 2019
He was in the right places at the right times. Hustles up and down the floor. He’s not going to wow you with his skills. Rather leave you saying solid fundamentals guy who does all the right things. He held things together. When players got fired up he cooled them down. Didn’t miss a single shot attempt the entire game. He went 3/3-2FG, 1/1-3FG, and 4/4-FT. Finished with 13 points.
Montavious Murphy 6’9 PF / Concordia Lutheran / 2019 PHTX100
Couldn’t get going like his usual self. But with a nice two handed flush in the first half. A momentum changing one handed dunk and life altering block really got the team and crowd going. He finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds. He is committed to Kansas State University.
R.J. Keene 6’6 SF / Concordia Lutheran / 2021 PHTX50
The sophomore played solid tonight. He played cautious tonight. Two quick fouls will do that to you, especially in the first quarter. He still had a solid night though. He knocked down a pair of trey balls. Played aggressive on defense at times. He plays with a lot of emotion. This young prospect will be a The go to guy next season for the Crusaders. Finished the game with 10 points on 2/4-3FG and 3 assist.
Sahvir Wheeler 5’9 PG / Houston Christian / 2019 PHTX100
First game seeing him since he’s been back from injury. His first step is insanely quick. His floor speed from end to end is truly elite. Super decisive with the ball and will shift who ever is guarding him. He was able to break down the zone with ease. He penetrated the lane and got where he wanted to when he wanted to. Finished at the rim at an super high rate. Finished the game with 24 points, 8 assist, and 0 turnovers. He is committed to Texas A&M University.
Noah Kon 6’0 PG / Houston Christian / 2021 PHTX50
Plays with a high motor. He is uber bouncy for his size. Has great strength also. He hit a three early on in the game and made a free throw in the second quarter. The second half was his game. He was getting in the lane and finished over the bigger defenders. Had 6 points in the 3rd quarter and 10 points in the 4th. His three point shooting has greatly improved from earlier on in the season when I seen him. He knocked down a pair of trey balls and shushed to crowed. He finished with 20 points and shot 3/6 from behind the arc.
Kobe Haynes 5’9 PG / Houston Christian / 2021
He’s a shooter. He also has some decisiveness in his ball handling. Very patient with the ball in his hands. Makes good decisions on passes. Came in the game on fire shooting 3/3 from behind the arch. Has a nice floater game also. Plays really well on ball defense with great lateral movement. Finished the game with 16 points on 4/8 shooting from deep.
