High school kids don't typically place much emphasis on rebounding the ball but there are a random select few that understand the importance of rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor.

There were five players from five different schools that displayed superior rebounding ability, helping their teams start new possessions or creating second chances.

Norman North, Senior: Shemar Smith

Smith was dominant inside the paint through the first two days of the tournament, including an impressive 14-rebound showing in his first game against Deer Creek. More importantly, 8 of his rebounds came on the offensive glass.

Edmond Memorial, Senior: Drew Tennial

Tennial is a top-five talent in the state of Oklahoma but not because of his scoring ability. He's possibly the most unorthodox star the state of Oklahoma has seen in at least a decade. In this era of shooters and gaudy statistics, Tennial gives you literally everything else. In the McGuinness Tournament, he rebounded the ball well. He simply did what the Bulldogs needed to win.

Choctaw, Sophomore: Jordan Mukes

Mukes is young, Mukes is athletic, Mukes is the best player on Choctaw's team. Along with some very impressive dunks off drop-steps, he rebounded the ball especially well. Over the span of two games, in two losses, Mukes pulled down 18 total rebounds and half were offensive.

Deer Creek, Junior: Jaylin Todd

Todd didn't have a great first night of the tournament but his second night was worthy of him being on this list of top rebounders. He capped off a 14-rebound night with 9 in the second half.

Bishop McGuinness, Junior: Jason Nolan

Nolan is very underrated and undersized for his position. At 6-foot-2, Nolan isn't your ideal power forward but his leaping ability proves him serviceable. In McGuinness' second game, Nolan pulled down 6 rebounds in limited minutes.
