<p>District 24 match up UIL 5A. Angleton Wildcats 11-12 (3-4)  take on Fort Bend Marshall 9-13 (2-5). As the midway point of district play starts, and playoff implications begin to take place. Both teams are trying to finish out the last 9 games of the regular season strong. Here is the game synopsis ans upshot.</p> <p>Marshall finished the 1st quarter on a great run and buzzer beating layup to put them up 11-8 over the Wildcats. The teams went back and forth in the 2nd quarter and the Buffaloes go in the half up 26-21 over the Wildcats. The see saw battle continues as the teams trade buckets the entire 3rd quarter.  Trey Sinegal had 11 points in the 3rd quarter Marshall 49  to Angleton 43. As the game comes to a close Angleton rallies back to take the lead 56-54 with 2:11 left in the game. It became a game of 1:1 and clock eating possessions. Trey Sinegal knocks down a tightly contested trey ball that makes the game 60-59 with 2 sec left in game. Finished well around the rim. Plays the low block for his HS team. Played best from the wing. Active on the glass. Came down with 7 rebounds in the game. He was always in the right spot offensively. Ran the floor well in transition. Finished the game with 16 points. Shot 2/2 from behind the arc.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong>Austin Irabor Jr.</strong> </span><span style="text-decoration: underline;">6’4 SF / 2020 / <em>Fort Bend Marshall<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></em></span></p> <p>Athletic SF with bounce. Runs the floor like a deer. Has decent timing on blocking shots. Swatted away 3 shots in the game. Altered several shots. Deflected passes in the game and came away with 2 steals. Brought down 9 rebounds in the game. Knocked down 2/2 deep balls. Finished the game with 14 points. Had a couple of tough passes in the game that led to assist.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong>Jason Williams</strong> </span><span style="text-decoration: underline;">5’9 PG / 2019 / <em>Angleton</em></span></p> <p>Can shoot the ball from deep. I'm talking pro range deep. He shot 3/5 from behind the arc. Two of the trey balls where heavily contested. Has some shiftiness in his game. Was able to get his teammates involved in the game. Dished out 4 assist. Pesky defender who kept the opposing guard in check the entire game. Finished the game with 11 points.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong>Thaddeus Chaney</strong></span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> 6’3 W / 2019 / <em>Angleton</em></span></p> <p>He was everywhere on the court. He guarded well on the perimeter as well as inside the paint. He is the glue guy for the Wildcats. Brought down 8 rebounds in the game. He was altering shots and had active hands when guarding the ball. Set solid screens throughout the game. Got after the loose balls. Finished the game with 12 points. </p>
