ARLINGTON, VA -- Bishop O'Connell overcame a halftime deficit to pick up a much needed overtime win at home vs. Gonzaga by a final score of 82-78. GW, Howard, Louisville, Maryland, and UPenn were among the schools we spotted in the gym. Below we recap this contest with a look at the 10 best.

MVP | JAHMAL BANKS | O'CONNELL '20

Not only did Jahmal Banks lead O'Connell in scoring, but he did so in an efficient fashion. Banks recognized when he had opportunities to score, and took advantage with quick slashes to the rim. He showcased good body control when finishing in the paint. Banks also led the Knights in rebounding, and did his due diligence on the defensive side of the ball. This was particularly important given the fact that Gonzaga pounded them on the boards early.

BEST SCORER | TERRANCE WILLIAMS | GONZAGA '20

Terrance Williams finished with a game high 23 points. He knocked down a handful of three pointers from spot up situations. Williams was also able to discover angles to navigate off the bounce. He was able to get into the paint almost at will. Williams was also able to draw contact and finish in traffic.

BEST OBSCURE PERFORMANCE | ANWAR GILL | GONZAGA '19

One thing you can never question about Anwar Gill is his effort. The unsigned senior knocked down a rhythm three during his nine-point second quarter flurry, and mixed it up nicely on his way to scoring 15 in the game. Gill did a bit of everything for Gonzaga, including utilize a shrewd ball fake which freed up Josh Watts to knock down an open three late in the game.

BEST SHOOTER | MARCUS DOCKERY | O'CONNELL '20

Marcus Dockery showcased a smooth jumper throughout the course of this game. The Maryland commit connected on threes from catch and shoot, spot up, and pull-up scenarios. Dockery also utilized his favorite step back move which gives him room to pull up from mid range.

BEST PLAYMAKER | CHUCK HARRIS | GONZAGA '20

Chuck Harris did a nice job pushing the ball after a make or miss. At 6-foot-2, the heady lead guard has good court vision and his size helps him deliver the ball over top of the defense. Harris recorded a game-high 6 assists and committed 2 turnovers.

BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | BRAYON FREEMAN | O'CONNELL '21

After a sluggish start to the game, Brayon Freeman came alive in the second half. Freeman scored 7 quick points when he entered the game in the third quarter, and finished with 14 points when it was all said and done. His ability to not just provide instant offense off the bench, but also dig in defensively is a commodity that a lot of teams would love to have.

BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | DEVIN DINKINS | GONZAGA '22

Freeman is technically an underclassmen, but we had to show Devin Dinkins some love here. Steve Turner found it difficult to keep Dinkins on the bench late in this game because he proved to be reliable throughout the game. He knocked down a couple of key triples in the third quarter, handled the ball without turning it over, and demonstrated good poise in a hostile environment.

BEST REBOUNDER | TERRANCE WILLIAMS | GONZAGA '20

Terrance Williams was one of the main reasons why Gonzaga was able to win the battle of the boards in this game. The long-armed 6-foot-7 bruiser is so good at establishing position inside and anchoring himself deep in the paint where it will be easy for him to corral a missed shot. Williams finished with a game-high 13 boards, with 5 coming from the offensive glass.

BEST MOTOR | MYLES STUTE | GONZAGA '20

In the first three minutes of this game, Myles Stute had already recorded four offensive rebounds. Stute remained active throughout the game, and fought hard for every 50/50 ball in his area.

BEST PLAY | TJ GADSDEN | O'CONNELL '20

TJ Gadsden played a critical part late in this game to help his team complete their comeback and hold on for the win. The rangy 6-foot-6 forward intercepted a pass and took it to the other end for a slam that all but put the game to rest. The crowd went bananas, and Gadsden's adrenaline-filled reaction said everything about the importance of the play.
