On October 12th, I attended Hoop Group's Scholar Stage showcase at Milton Academy in Milton, MA. About 80 players were present, and I got to see each of them play in two games.

This was my first time seeing Korber in person, and I was impressed with his ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. The 6-foot-1 CG rebounds the ball extremely well for his size—he attacks the boards and has great timing—and then he's able to get downhill in transition once he secures it. Once he gets into the paint, he makes great passing reads and can also find his own points by way of his touch and finishing ability. The senior hit some shots from three, too. Korber seems like he could be a college player and should have a nice season for Glastonbury's squad.

Pires only played one game yesterday, but he was good enough to warrant being on this list. The 6-foot-1 guard looked like one of the better shooters in the entire gym—he can come off screens and make shots off of multiple different types of footwork, but he can also make shots off the dribble and with very little time or space. Pires has a great feel for the game, too, when it comes to making reads in the paint and finding guys out of the pick and roll. I'm high on Pires and think he'll be great for Bridgewater-Raynham this season.

Jenkins had some special plays yesterday. The 5-foot-10 PG was lethal defensively and used his lateral quickness and amazing hands to create havoc in both the half-court and the full-court. He has a knack for getting into passing lanes and getting deflections, and then he's a fantastic finisher and passer at the rim. He has great change-of-speed and change-of-direction capabilities, and he finally looks like he's back to himself pre-injuries. Jenkins should be a big-time player for Catholic Memorial this season.

Marshall is EVERYWHERE. The 6-foot-2 combo-guard makes winning plays on the defensive end, whether it's getting his hands in the passing lane, tipping a rebound, or making multiple efforts to close out to two offensive players, he's able to cover a lot of ground. Offensively, the senior can get extremely hot from three at a moment's notice and also had some really impressive extend finishes yesterday. Marshall needs to get a little bit more consistent in terms of his decision-making, but he should have a great year for Oliver Ames.

Fracassa has a super intriguing set of skills. The 6-foot-1 eighth grader has good size and athleticism for his age, but he's also able to handle the ball and play on the perimeter. He had multiple coast-to-coast rebounds that resulted in layups on the other end, and he also made a number of really impressive passes. Fracassa is homeschooled, so I'm not sure where he'll play his school ball, but he has a bright future ahead and could be really interesting if he continues to grow.
