Potentially the most explosive athlete of any new find on the weekend, Barrett turned heads on multiple occasions with high-flying dunks in the open floor. That got us to pay attention but his game got us to stick around, with Barrett bringing great size to the perimeter along with a functional straight-line handle, dynamic first step, and ability to finish at the cup with either hand. He also looked comfortable on a handful of relatively smooth attempts from the perimeter. There’s room for Barrett to play a bit harder and make more use of his strong upper body in the floor game, but the natural talent is evident and should place the emerging swingman among the breakout names in District 1 this year.
