Sophomore ID Camp: Team 3 Evals

We are working to give you a full look inside the Sophomore ID Camp and provide specific evaluations of each player who attended the camp. We'll be going team by team to break down all of the action from the weekend. He was going to assert himself on the game however he could, attacking gaps, finishing at the rim, and making more than a few key lead passes up the court in transition. Was an added boost on the offensive glass, even when he didn't come down with it, he was tipping it to teammates or knocking it away from defenders, keeping the play alive. He's not the fastest guy out there but he has some subtle deception that allows him to get where he wants to go with the dribble, and he's just as capable a passer as he is a scorer. Proved to be a pretty effective slasher but also made a handful of spot up treys to showcase a balanced scoring profile. Was also clever enough to use some spin moves in close to get around his man and all the way to the hoop. I saw him drop in a couple of shots behind the arc, raise up and send shots back, and then get out and run the floor and finish breaks. But what continues to excite me most about his game, is how he uses his size to attack players off the bounce and get to the rack. Immediately stood out for his motor all over the floor and the energy he brought to the game. It was clear he came to compete and he was able to force a handful of turnovers, create paint touches, and was on point from long-range.
