Updated 2028 Rankings: NOVA Wings (Part 2)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We recently updated our class of 2028 rankings in the state of Virginia, going to 142 prospects from across the state we believe will be players to keep an eye on moving forward. Obviously the list will change plenty over the next two seasons, but for now here's a look at part two of some of the top junior wings in the Northern VA area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#34) Aiden Friend | 6'3” SG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":3592838,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/04/Friend-Aiden.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/04/Friend-Aiden.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3592838" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Friend has been one of the more steadily improved players since he was a freshman at SSSAS, and after a big summer with New World on the 3SSB Circuit as well as the Saints, he is starting to look like a player D1 coaches should be familiar with. At 6'3” with long arms he has good positional size and above average athleticism, he shoots the ball extremely well off the catch and on the move from deep, he plays with good pace and attacks closeouts well to get in the paint where he draws contact, and when he's done growing I think he'll see a big leap in his athleticism as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#35) Jahad Mansour | 6'3” SG | Edison</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mansour had a huge sophomore season for Edison, and he'll be in the running for all sorts of awards as he's primed to put up big numbers this year for a team that is now his. The 6'3” off guard is a walking bucket who can get wherever he wants off the bounce, he shoots the ball well from deep with good range, he is an athletic and crafty finisher when he gets downhill, and when he gets hot he can flat out take over games for his team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#36) Jackson Sabrick | 6'5” SF | Paul VI</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sabrick found himself a nice role for PVI last season on their way to their third straight WCAC title, and while he may not be the most highly touted prospect on a national powerhouse he is someone who likely would have started anywhere else last year. He has a very high ceiling as he has great positional size and length, he gives great effort on the defensive end often sacrificing his body and fighting for 50-50 balls, he's a very good rebounder for his position and often crashes the offensive glass for extra possessions, and he can stretch the floor and knock down shots on kick-outs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#47) Isaiah Martin | 6'3” SF | South County</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Martin is a two sport star at South County who also shines on the gridiron, and he's poised for a big junior season after a very good summer that shows his immense upside moving forward. At 6'3” he's a big time athlete who can play above the rim and is a good rebounder for his position, he can score it from all three levels and is very good working off the ball to get open, he thrives in transition with his speed and finishing ability, and he can guard multiple positions and lock down very good scorers as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#54) Declan Conley | 6'4” SG | Potomac School</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":3684458,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/06/IMG_7577.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/06/IMG_7577.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3684458" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Conley has played his way into a very solid role for Potomac School over the past few years, and this summer he showed that he's in a great position with them on a very talented team that will allow him to do what he does best. The 6'4” wing has good positional size and gives good effort on the defensive end, he's one of the top catch-and-shoot guys in the DMV with deep range and a quick release, he's very good at relocating and coming off of screens, and he's an underrated secondary ball handler and finisher too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#64) Micah Young | 6'3” SG | Virginia Academy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":2962203,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/09/Young-Micah.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/09/Young-Micah.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-2962203" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Young transferred to VA Academy after a good season at Gainesville last year to reclassify to the 2028 class, and that could bold very well for him getting another year to develop. The 6'3” two guard is a physical specimen who is strong and super explosive when he's out in the open floor, the lefty shoots a good ball and can knock it down from deep, he can play on the ball and is an aggressive downhill attacker, and he has all the tools to be a lock down defender as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#65) Khing Terrell | 6'3” SG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Terrell may have gotten off to a slow start in his high school career as he was a highly touted middle school prospect, but it all seems to be coming together considering the impressive summer that he had. The 6'3” wing is a terrific isolation player who works well out of triple threat and gets to his spots, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch, he's long and a good athlete allowing him to finish and rebound, and with the confidence from this summer I wouldn't be surprised if he was their breakout player this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
