Point Guards To Track in the 2028 Recruiting Class

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Updated 2028 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 136 players in the junior class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Here is a look at a handful of point guard prospects who arre poised to take another step forward during the 2026-27 season.    Jordan is a capable scoring lead guard with above average quickness and the ability to create his own offense off the dribble. He consistently puts pressure on the defense and also has the playmaking ability to create opportunities for teammates. Jordan brings good effort to the defensive end as well, where he competes and works to make an impact as an on-ball defender.     Harris is a strong, athletic and attacking lead guard who consistently puts pressure on the defense with his ability to get downhill. A high level athlete, he is especially dangerous in the open floor, where he can push the pace and create opportunities in transition. Harris also shows good leadership qualities at the point guard position and plays with impressive competitiveness and toughness on both ends of the floor.     Brown earned a spot in our updated 2028 rankings and continues to establish himself as a reliable lead guard. The junior changes speeds and pace effectively, keeping defenders off balance and creating opportunities to get into the paint, where he is a creative finisher. Brown sees the floor well, is a willing passer and plays with a high basketball IQ. The Atlanta All Stars product has a strong understanding of how to run a team and serves as an extension of his coach on the floor.     Another prospect who earned a spot in our updated rankings, Tribbey is a quick, strong and hard playing lead guard with an impressive feel for the game. He is an excellent passer who sees the floor well and consistently creates opportunities for teammates, while also being a capable perimeter shot maker when left open. Tribbey plays with toughness and competitiveness and can make a significant impact on the defensive end, where his pressure and activity can disrupt opposing guards and make it difficult for teams to initiate their offense.     Another prospect making his first appearance in our 2028 rankings, Hamilton impressed throughout June and July with the Warriors and GA Canes. Now at North Cobb, he brings good positional size and strength to the perimeter and has established himself as a capable three level scorer. Hamilton has the ability to create offense in a variety of ways and should continue to rise in the rankings as his overall game develops.
