Denim is a playmaking combo guard whose floor game starts with his ability to create an advantage and involve others. He can initiate the offense, run the show, and use his vision to turn penetration into opportunities for teammates. He is tough off the bounce as he is really good getting to the cup and finishing. His scoring potency gives his passing, which may not be discussed enough, a scoring threat to work behind. Defenders have to respect his ability to complete the play himself, which makes his court vision more valuable when help commits. His strongest contribution was the connection between getting into the heart of the defense and finding the next play. Continuing to sharpen his pace changes will help him dictate possessions without allowing the defense to hurry his decisions. Honing more perimeter counters will also give him more value alongside another ball-handler and make defenders pay for backing away from his drives. There is a lot to like about his ability to score from the outside and bring teammates into the action while remaining a threat at the rim. His playmaking gives the offense direction.

Denim Love brought toughness and physicality to the combo guard position while helping Team Hustle reach the final four of the 7th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. Love plays with a high motor and has impressive strength for a guard, which he uses well when attacking the paint. He was consistently in attack mode with the ball in his hands, getting downhill and absorbing contact without being knocked off his line. Love’s physical approach, aggressive mentality and ability to put pressure on the defense gave Team Hustle a reliable presence in the backcourt.
