2027s and 2028s on The Rise in Pennsylvania

Laster is a sneaky athlete who can make plays around the rim and becomes a difficult matchup when he gets a full head of steam attacking downhill. He has the burst to put pressure on the defense and create scoring opportunities once he gets moving toward the basket. Laster is also a capable perimeter shooter, knocking down shots from three when playing off the basketball. I like the quickness he shows filling the lane in transition, where he consistently puts himself in position for easy layup opportunities. His ability to contribute in multiple areas gives Laster an all-around game that should continue to develop. Kennedy does a nice job touching the paint in the half-court, consistently putting pressure on the defense with his ability to get downhill. He is also a capable defender who shows that he can move his feet, sit in a stance, and stay in front of opposing ball handlers. Offensively, Kennedy can play off the basketball and knock down perimeter shots when given opportunities. I would like to see him speed up his release by a second or two, which would make him an even more effective threat from the outside. With his two-way ability and continued development, Kennedy should see an increased role this upcoming season. Meriweather does a nice job filling the lane in transition and consistently puts himself in position for easy scoring opportunities. The southpaw is a shot-maker from three who can heat up quickly once he gets into a groove. Defensively, Meriweather has a nose for jumping passing lanes and turning steals into offense. He also has a nice runner that he has no issues going to when given some space to operate. With his ability to impact the game on both ends, Meriweather should be in line for a bigger role as a junior this upcoming season. Ansell is thunderous when attacking downhill, using his physical style to consistently put pressure on the defense. He shows the ability to score with his in-between game and has no issues seeking out contact when attacking the basket. Ansell also applies good ball pressure on the defensive end, making it difficult for opposing ball handlers to get comfortable. He is a capable shooter from three, adding another layer to his offensive attack. His blend of downhill physicality, scoring versatility, and defensive pressure makes him an intriguing two-way prospect. Babkes likes to bully his way to the bucket in the half-court and thrives when he is on the attack. I like the patience he shows on the offensive end, as he does a good job waiting for defenders to fall asleep before making his move. Babkes also has the vision to find open shooters and create scoring chances for his teammates. His downhill aggression allows him to draw fouls and spend plenty of time at the foul line. He is also capable of leading the break in transition, where his ability to push the pace adds another dimension to his game.
