The Nike Jr. EYBL West Session 1 in Los Angeles featured a strong group of point guards who controlled the pace, created offense, and consistently made winning plays. From dynamic scorers to true floor generals, this group stood out with their ability to lead, make reads, and impact the game on both ends.

Ezekiel Vernis | AZ Unity | 2030

Ezekiel Vernis proved himself as one of the most complete point guards at the event, consistently dictating tempo and running his team with confidence. He embraced the role of a true floor general, breaking down defenses, attacking switches, and finding shooters on the perimeter.

His handle and pace allowed him to get into the paint at will, where he used floaters and soft finishes to score over bigger defenders. Defensively, he competed at a high level, creating turnovers that led to easy transition opportunities. With his poise, decision-making, and ability to perform in key moments, Ezekiel stood out throughout the weekend.

Desean Jones | AZ Unity | 2030

Desean Jones showcased his ability to take over games, delivering one of the most explosive guard performances of the weekend. In a packed gym, he caught fire from deep, knocking down five three-pointers and stretching the defense well beyond the arc.

He combined a dynamic handle with change of pace, using ball screens to create separation and generate scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Desean scored at all three levels and matched it defensively with high energy, highlighted by a steal that led to an and-one four-point play. His ability to control the game and shift momentum made him one of the top guards in Los Angeles.

Isaiah Jackson | Team Determined | 2031

Isaiah Jackson stood out as one of the most poised and complete point guards at the event, consistently controlling the game with his pace and decision-making. He showed advanced feel in the pick-and-roll, picking apart defenses and delivering precise passes with both hands.

His ability to get downhill forced defenses to collapse, opening up scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Isaiah balanced scoring and playmaking at a high level while maintaining composure under pressure. His overall feel and leadership made him a consistent difference maker throughout the weekend.

DJ Daniels | NWA | 2031

DJ Daniels brought confidence and control to the point guard position, setting the tone with his energy on both ends of the floor. He used his change of pace to get to his spots, creating separation for pull-ups while staying aggressive attacking downhill.

In transition, he kept his head up and created for others, including a key assist late in a game. Defensively, he disrupted passing lanes, generated steals, and impacted the flow of the offense. DJ capped off his performance with clutch finishes and free throws, proving to be a reliable playmaker and scorer.

Jah Braham | Rose City | 2030

Jah Braham showcased his versatility and control as a lead guard, consistently dictating the flow of the game with confidence and poise.
