JoQuan Bailey (2031) JoQuan is one of the smaller lead guards in his division, but he has wasted no time proving that size is far from a limitation. He has started the day by doing a really good job running the offense, creating opportunities for teammates, and keeping everyone involved with his court vision and willingness to distribute the rock. Defensively, he has competed with toughness and energy, refusing to back down from bigger opponents. Kaden Mays (2030) Kaden may not be the biggest guard in attendance, but he has played beyond his size. He has done a good job balancing scoring and facilitating, showing a mature understanding of when to create for himself and when to get teammates involved. He brings energy and effort on both ends of the floor, as he competes with confidence and purpose on every possession. He displays a strong feel for the game and a developing PG IQ that allows him to effectively run the show. He has also shot the ball well from beyond the arc, forcing defendrs to respect him as a perimeter threat. Jeremiah Bradley, 2034 Jeremiah got off to a quick start showing a nice handle and impressive burst into the lane. He's a smart, persistent defender with the ability to keep up with and frustrate talented opponents. He has sneaky hands that can rack up steals and deflections in a hurry. He displays patience and a soft touch at the rim, consistently working his way into high-percentage shot attempts. Davion Demos, 2030 Davion is one of the best defenders I've seen on the day so far. Always at the ready with an impressive stance, he creates steals and forces turnovers with regularity while consistently fronting his man. He doesn't shy away from physicality and uses his body effectively to create separation while driving to the paint. He makes good decisions on both ends and shows class and sportsmanship on the floor as well. Phin Rhodes, 2031 Phin is a fearless two-way player that doesn't shy away from physicality or bigger opponents. He's excellent at working his way into good shots using solid footwork and impressive patience. He stays in front of his man consistently on defense and never quits on plays. His IQ is advanced and it shows in his decision-making on both ends of the floor. He hustles back on defense and has a nice touch when finishing at the rim. Gerrick Willard, 2030, Sat 330pm game Gerrick displayed a fierce quickness on defense with spectacular footwork and tenacity. He disrupts his opponents defensively throughout the game and leaves them frustrated. He's an effective finisher in the paint and doesn't shy away from physicality. He uses his body impressively to create separation. He has nice strength and a solid frame to build upon. This group of standouts demonstrated a combination of skill, toughness, IQ, and competitiveness that helped separate them from the field during Saturday's National Camp action. As the camp continues, these players have positioned themselves as names to watch closely moving forward.
