Class of 2029 Top Newcomers

PH NorCal Class of 2029 Rankings have been updated. These prospects caught our attention with their productivity on the court against quality competition. All will be contributors, or have been contributors at the Varsity level. Others are competing in a competitive environment at the 15U level.    The long wiry type still growing. Plays on a competitive 15U team. He has good activity in and around the post area, an active rebounder, snagged a couple for put back points. He defends the post area. He can generate offense along the perimeter using his dribble to get a mid-range, drive the baseline, can hit the free throw jumper. Plays with effort on the defensive side, runs the court.     A good size player, lengthy arms, probably still growing. He has speed and movement, quick feet, lateral movement plays with good effort on the defensive side of the ball. He has a growing skill set, a good ball handler, willing passer, sees the court. He can be aggressive moving along the perimeter shot ready for a 3-pointer, or use his speed and quick dribble to get into the paint. Good in a fast pace game.     He average 12pts a game last season, transferred to Folsom. He has shown bits and pieces of his capabilities. A growing guard with good ball handling, and court vision. He can run point, or work off ball moving and making cuts to the basket, he's a ball mover, handles the double team, can get to the basket off the dribble, shoot 3's. He hustles back on defense, can defend on the perimeter, a rebounding guard. We'll see more.     Newcomer, our first look was at Cali-Live, his team won their bracket championship game. A quality ball handler, sees the court, keeps his dribble live up top. He made several impressive dribble drives moves to the basket crossovers, change of direction showed no fear, handled the contact, sometimes finishing with a reverse. He was aggressive attacking the basket in transition.     He'll be a contributor his first season on the Varsity. He has good guard play on, and off ball. His quality handles, court vision, and strong passing up court, and around the perimeter, allows him to run point. He's good in transition pushing. He'll use his handles to attack, from different angles, finish strong around the rim. He'll drive and kick or it the paint jumper. He plays at a good pace, we'll see more.     He plays EYCL 15 Soldiers. He's an alert defender, might get a steal, he stays close to ball handlers in full court, moves his feet, has lateral movement defending on the perimeter, he works to keep you out of the paint. He'll help bring the all up at times, a ball movers, and cutter along the perimeter, but mostly stands ready to shoot open 3's on the catch.     He's a solid 6'5 PF with good post footwork. He makes good use of his body, powering up off two feet, he's shown he can finish around the rim. He'll pass from the high and low post, set solid screens, shows a target hand rolling top the basket. He moves bodies going after offensive rebounds. He's a good post passer, defends the post shows he can defend on the perimeter. We'll see more.     He's already making his presence felt, he'll be a key contributor on the Varsity. A solid body good size at 6'2. He handles ball pressure, sets and runs the offense when called to do so. He had good drives to the basket off ball from different areas, including the baseline. He has the size, footspeed, and strength to defend more than one position. He's a rebounder. He can have effect without scoring a lot.
