Standouts at Seal Beach: Guards

He was timely with leak outs that led to easy transition points to help his team stop runs and keep the momentum in his team's favor. Defensively, he was active in passing lanes and in help on drives, getting a great amount of deflections. He got to his spots when he wanted and took his time with everything he did, keeping a calm demeanor even in the clutch by scoring 7 straight to bring his team back and tie one of the games with seconds left. He applied more pressure than ever defensively and displayed quick hands in passing lanes. He lived in the midrange but caught fire from three on multiple occasions. He's an elite finisher around the basket and displayed his IQ in transition as well. Coming off the bench, the 5"10 guard made one of the biggest impacts on a game that I have seen all weekend from a player, through his defensive efforts. Offensively, Kaylin was efficient in converting his lays and 3's off the catch. A blue collar worker on defense that manages the offense and gets the ball to the right people, on the right spot, at the right time. In Seal Beach, he was great with controlling the ball and limiting turnovers while feeding his team and converting his own layups when the opportunities presented themselves in the flow of the offense. A lot of his opportunities came from flashing middle and reading the defense during his inside turn. When the help came, he found his shooters in the corner and made the collapsed zone defense pay.
