Recruiting Report: Luke Frazier (2020)

Entering his third year of playing varsity high school basketball, Luke Frazier (2020) is now getting offers to play at the college level.
The 6’3” point guard from Lake Catholic picked up offers from Wright State and Youngstown State earlier this offseason.
Athletic and skilled Frazier demonstrated an ability to knock down open jumpers, get to the basket and find the open man off dribble penetration and cause problems on defense with his long arms and jumping ability during a summer league game against Painesville Harvey in the Terry Rozier Summer League.
One play that stood out came in the first half when Frazier dribbled down the left side and pulled up off of a behind-the-back dribble to create space from his defender and drained a jump shot.
“The strength of my game is dribbling and shooting,” Frazier said.
He also came away with a steal by snatching away a pass made by a ball handler he was defending near midcourt and only needing a couple of dribbles to get to the basket and finish through contact.
Frazier, who averaged 15.8 points a game as a sophomore while earning Northeast Lakes second-team all-district honors, is looking to improve on his strength as the summer moves on.
“Athleticism, heart and just trying to make everyone better,” are what he’d bring to a college program he said.
Frazier, who is playing AAU with an OBC team, comes from a basketball family. His mother and father both played college basketball.
He also surrounds himself with peers who love the game. His best friend is St. Edward guard Grant Huffman (2020), who has already picked up offers from Xaiver and Duquesne.
He’s a teammate of Luka Eller (2020), a 6’7” post player who was a first-team all-district pick and averaged 20 points a game but as of yet has picked up no college offers.
