You don’t get a nickname like “Big Smooth” without having a lot to your game. Kinston is a 6’6 big man that plays well within himself. He’s not on the perimeter trying to shoot threes or show off his ball handling skills. The bread and butter for Kinston is from the free throw line to the paint. He utilizes his size well in the paint, bullying defenders with ferocious backdowns. Contact is not an issue, as he often converts through it, even if multiple defenders are around.
It is not all power for Kinston though. The soft touch, agility, and footwork are all aspects of his game that he showcases. When he gets the ball in the paint, the patience is there while he tries to dissect where the double is coming from. If it doesn’t come quickly enough, a spin move and finish quickly follow. Even when the double team comes, he’s a more than capable passer out of the post. Despite his size, Kinston runs the floor extremely well and has good hands when the guards find him in transition. Not overly athletic but his skill level makes up for it.

Switching over to North Carolina, Kinston Allen Kinston Allen 6'6" | PF/C Person | 2030 NC is a major handful for Team CP3 . His monster, 6’6″ frame made it difficult for NY Rens to defend all game long, it was just about whether his guards would get him the ball or not. Along with the size, Allen has intriguing tools for a young big man, such as a soft touch, good hands, and a willingness to run the floor and be a screener. Keep an eye on Kinston to be a dominant force at Person in his freshman year.
