The talented PG combines scoring ability, leadership, and winning intangibles into one complete package. As the team's floor general, he has a tremendous feel for the game and consistently makes the right decisions with the ball in his hands His impact on the game is seen in multiple ways. He can create his own offense, knock down perimeter shots, attack off the bounce, and facilitate for teammates when defenses collapse. His poise under pressure and command of the offense allow him to dictate tempo while keeping everyone involved. Defensively, he provides tremendous value as a rim protector and versatile defender. His athleticism, length, and timing allow him to challenge shots and erase mistakes around the basket. Standing 6-foot-5 with size, skill, and a competitive edge, he possesses the type of versatility that can change games. His impact begins defensively where he serves as a reliable rim protector capable of altering shots and controlling the paint. However, what makes him especially valuable is his ability to stretch the floor offensively. He has shown the ability to step away from the basket and knock down perimeter shots, creating matchup problems for opposing defenses.   Key Role Players to Watch   Donjay Compton (G/'29/Decatur) and Tony Baker (G/'29/Decatur)   While much of the attention may be focused on Decatur's established stars, Donjay and Tony could be two of the biggest X-factors on the roster. Both young guards already possess more than two years of varsity experience, a rarity for players their age. That experience should pay dividends as they transition into larger roles this season. With increased responsibilities comes greater opportunity, and both players appear poised to take advantage.
