Moving along on our preview of every team attending the NW June D1 Recruiting Event later this month, we are looking at three teams from three different states. Colony comes down from Alaska with four solid prospects to check out. Corner Canyon returns to the event from Utah. They only played about seven deep this past season and graduate a couple of their top guys, so it will be interesting to see who else pops up to leave at mark at the event with them. Then we have the local team, Eastside Catholic. The Crusaders came up just short of making it into last winter's 3A state title game, and have a handful of younger players leading them into summer.

Colony (AK)

Classification: 4A

2025-26 Record: 18-7

Key Players

Myles Mongeau 6-4 SG/SF 2027

Mongeau is a strong guard who likes to get downhill with his off-hand. His strength lets him get good depth on his drives, draw up extra defenders, and find late dishes, but he also has some athleticism to finish with. Has a pretty good stroke from outside too and will be a key scorer for the Knights.

Jackson Ainsworth 6-1 PG 2028

He's a key creator for the Knights who can play with some pace, get penetration with the ball, and split gaps to draw up extra help. Has pretty good patience and footwork in traffic, and is a pretty solid scorer from 12 feet and in. Will also crash the offensive glass from outside and plays with good energy.

Charlie Gardner 6-8 PF 2028

Gardner is a true big who looks to get his touches block to block. He'll pop outside to get in on some handoffs and ball screens, can get up and down the court well, and won't lag behind the play. Solid rebounder with decent touch at the rim.

Jaydon Coon 6-0 SG 2029

This young guard plays with some legit poise and confidence for a kid his age. He can really shoot the ball and is probably their best 3-point threat, but can also handle the ball under pressure, and has the mindset to be a truly impactful player down the line. He gets himself into good positions on both ends, sprints to receive quick outlet, and does a good job quickly getting separation to create passing lanes on the perimeter.

Corner Canyon (UT)

Classification: 6A

2025-26 Record: 12-13

Key Players

[player_tooltip player_id='2809197' first='Ty' last='Kozlowski'] 6-6 PG 2029

25-26 Stats: 6.0 pts 7.6 rebs 4.2 ast 1.6 stl 1.6 blk

Kozlowski is a big guard who doesn't score a ton, but does a great job setting the offense in motion and using his big frame to pick out passes and play out of different spots. He'll do a little bit of everything to contribute, shows great calm with the rock, and has quick reactions and hands on defense to make some plays. Has positional versatility on defense and can really find creative passing lanes to get his teammates the rock. Has an offer from Oral Roberts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2673550' first='Josh' last='Tolman'] 6-5 SG 2028

25-26 Stats: 13.7 pts 5.3 rebs 2.5 ast 1.0 stl

Tolman is their top returning scorer and does most of it at the rim. He's got a strong build, can shoot a gap or bully his way in close and is a pretty good athlete as well. Also puts in work on the glass and overall just plays with a good motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208570' first='Manase' last='Brown'] 6-7 PF 2027

25-26 Stats: 9.8 pts 4.7 rebs

Brown is a big forward with strength, solid footwork and balance, and is a good athlete at 6-foot-8. He's a D1 football recruit and you can tell with the way he moves. Has the ability to take guys off the dribble from further out, will hit open shots, and can even step out to hit an occasional three.

Eastside Catholic (WA)

Classification: 3A

2025-26 Record: 19-10

Key Players

[player_tooltip player_id='2627281' first='Tytan' last='McNeal'] 6-6 SF 2028

The dual sport athlete is one of the top defenders in his class. He has a strong build, high-level athleticism, and has the toughness to match up against the best the state has to offer. Offensively, he can get an angle and bully his way inside, is a big factor on the offensive glass, and can step out and space the floor. His basketball offers include Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, Sacramento State, and San Diego.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548213' first='Micah' last='Rouson'] 6-0 SG 2028

Rouson is a very twitchy guard with some explosive bursts of play in him. He came alive for a few big games down the stretch last season, showcasing his ability to stop and pop, and get going offensively in spurts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2627277' first='Steven' last='Sun'] 6-2 CG 2028

The sharpshooting guard emerged in a big way in their backcourt last winter and he's a guy who uses some real craft to get to his spots, and has the confidence to pull from deep. Although that outside shot gets a lot of attention, he's also a kid who can pick his spots to get to the rim and has a good finishing package at the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id='2627283' first='London' last='Walsh'] 6-2 SG 2028

Walsh is another guard for the Crusaders who can knock down the outside shot. He will be a floor spacer but he's also shown he'll bring some energy to the floor by following misses on the offensive glass, and pick up extra possession with his hustle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2935312' first='Anthony' last='Williams'] 6-4 SG 2029

He's one of the most explosive athletes coming up in Washington and he's liable to throw down a big dunk every time he steps on the floor. He's already a strong kid who can play through traffic, works hard on the boards, and will be aggressive attacking space.

Simon Nled 6-1 SG 2028

Nled has a long reach and can be a pretty stout on ball defender. Has improved his jumper too and can knock down some open shots from the perimeter.
