About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical and high energy player who can play both center and power forward. I like being aggressive in the paint, rebounding, protecting the rim, and doing whatever it takes to help my team win. I play hard every possession and bring energy on both offense and defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself as hardworking, coachable, and competitive. I always try to bring positive energy to my team and push myself to get better every day. I stay focused, play with confidence, and never give up no matter what the score is.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I currently play for the Awake Basketball organization. I was also named MVP of my freshman team. Being recognized as MVP showed me the importance of hard work, leadership, and always putting the team first.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has helped me develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and discipline. Playing on different teams has taught me how to work with others, stay positive, and support my teammates both on and off the court. I’ve also learned the importance of accountability, hard work, and always giving my best effort.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is balancing school, basketball, training, and personal life at the same time. It can be stressful at times, but it has taught me how to manage my time, stay focused, and keep working toward my goals even when things get difficult. It has also helped me become more mentally tough and disciplined.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both academically and athletically. I want to be part of a program that feels like family, pushes me to become a better player, and gives me opportunities to succeed on and off the court. I’m also looking for coaches who believe in hard work, development, and teamwork.

Evan Ratajczak Evan Ratajczak Evan Ratajczak 6'4" | SF/PF Katy Tompkins | 2029 TX is a 6’4″ wing with explosive athleticism, solid ball handling skills, and a high rebounding motor. He can score at all three levels, but easily finds driving lanes and aggressively attacks the backboard and rim. Ratajczak has the ability to shoot the ball and his efficiency will increase as he continues to build confidence in attempting more rhythm jump shots during the flow of the game. His IQ and passing stood out for a wing with his size. Defensively he guards the one through four comfortably.
