UA Rise/Grind Circuits: 2027 Prospects to Watch

Under Armour held its spring “Live” period event in Ohio over the weekend, featuring competition across the Under Armour Association, UA Rise, and UA Grind circuits. Here is a look at five juniors to watch this summer Georgia based teams on the UA Rise and UA Grind Circuits    The sharp-shooting guard was one of the standout performers for Hoop Atlanta in a narrow loss on Saturday afternoon. McDow knocked down five three-pointers on his way to 17 points, consistently stretching the defense with his perimeter shooting ability. He possesses a quick, compact release and outstanding shot preparation, allowing him to get quality looks off the catch and capitalize on limited space. The junior also has good positional size for the backcourt and showed the ability to handle secondary ball-handling responsibilities when needed. His combination of shooting, size, and versatility makes him a valuable offensive weapon and a college prospect in the 2027 class.     McDow's teammate, Gadsden, added 13 points in Saturday's game in Ohio while showcasing his combination of length, athleticism, and versatility. A high upside combo forward, he is an above the rim finisher who consistently impacts the game with his activity around the basket and on the glass. Gadsden has the tools to guard multiple positions, alter shots in the lane, and create defensive disruption with his length and mobility. Offensively, he moves well without the ball, runs the floor effectively, and can grab a rebound and immediately ignite the fast break. His ability to contribute in a variety of ways and fill a stat sheet makes him one of the more versatile prospects in attendance.     A high academic prospect in the 2027 class, Waters turned in an impressive performance with 19 points in a win over Illinois Attack. The talented wing possesses an attractive combination of size, skill, and athleticism, allowing him to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He is a capable perimeter shot maker with range beyond the arc, has good length, and uses his athleticism to finish plays above the rim in transition and around the basket. Defensively, Waters is active, instinctive, and disruptive, consistently making plays with his anticipation and versatility.     Steinberger scored 15 points in a 71-65 win over HC United while showcasing one of the best shooting performance we saw over the weekend. The junior possesses a quick, compact release and consistently creates scoring opportunities with his ability to stretch the floor. When defenders close out aggressively, Steinberger does a good job attacking off the catch, straight line driving to the basket, and finishing through contact in the lane. He also brings decent strength and a strong feel for the game, allowing him to make smart decisions and play effectively within the flow of the offense.     Garner is a versatile wing with good size who averaged 15 points per game for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076251' first='Atlanta' last='Timberwolves'] in Ohio. A solid perimeter shot maker, he consistently spaces the floor and has the ability to score from multiple spots on the court. Garner is a better than average athlete who plays with confidence and understands how to impact the game within the flow of the offense. He has a good feel for the game, makes good decisions with the basketball, and competes on both ends of the floor. Also a football prospect, Garner's combination of athleticism, size, and natural playmaking ability makes him an intriguing multi sport athlete.
