Expert Analysis
Owen Siebring | Prep Hoops Scout
Elijah is a multi-sport athlete, who suited up for his varsity football team as a freshman. And his athleticism and physicality is already coming to form.
Over the few times I saw him play this weekend, Elijah had some of the slickest handles of anybody on the floor. He’s completing no-look passes, underhand dishes to the wing, firing it the length of the floor in transition; he’s got some uncanny abilities as a passer.
As a whole, he says that he’s come a long way in his court vision. Outside of just passing, he’s great at finding a seam and driving to the hoop. And when he’s setting up the offense, he’s unbothered by defenders who try to disrupt his dribbling.
He also has a good head on his shoulders and doesn’t get frustrated. When one of his games looked out of hand early, falling behind by 20+ points in the first half, Elijah kept his team fighting and managed to get the deficit back to single-digits for most of the second half.

Though his team finished the weekend without a win, Elijah was a standout on the roster each time he stepped on the floor.
Elijah is a very capable 3-point threat, finishing with three made triples on the day-and showing extreme confidence when he pulls the trigger from deep.
He also makes insane passes all over the floor, and says that he prides himself in finding creative ways to dish the ball to his teammates. Whether scoring or passing, his court-vision is off the charts.
As a high school freshman, Elijah was on the varsity football team, and that physicality was on display with his defensive disruption; as well as being unaffected by defensive pressure.
