An Early Look at Steals in the Class of 2027

While he is playing in 3A and a bit out of the way in Southern Utah, he has found ways to score in double digits against some of the better teams on his schedule. He averaged 19 PPG, and with some positional height at his position, he is going to be a steal. He rebounds well as a guard and that often leads to grab-and-go breaks. He is going to be a steal. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kalr Chowning, Manila</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another small school guard who can use his quickness and two-way playing skill set to be impactful at a small school. Chowning is playing 1A ball, but he can play, and he is going to be a fun player to watch this spring and summer. Not only does he have a good motor and speed to his game, he also shoots the ball really well as he connected 62 times this season. If he can get to a minimum of 2 made per game, he could really increase his makes. While being 6'4 and maybe even taller, he is a good size at the high school level as an SG/CG. He is a dynamic scorer who excels in catch-and-shoot situations. Furthermore, he demonstrates proficiency in both step-up and relocation three-pointers. He is a Swiss Army Knife player, capable of doing a little bit of everything. He can score off the bounce and from the perimeter, moves the ball effectively to find open teammates, and contributes on the boards and defensively.
