Leading the way in a grimy game was Mitchell, a senior who’s been among the Generals’ catalysts all season. A long and broad swingman with quick feet and a strong upper body, he was active and aggressive on the margins on both ends of the floor, flowing consistently towards the rim for rebounds and tough finishes. He operated effectively as a secondary ballhandler, and showed flashes as a floor-spacer out to the perimeter, though didn’t seem to be too consistent in that regard. Mitchell lacks a true position at the scholarship level but could help a lot of JUCO or small-college programs with his toughness and versatility.
