Standouts In The Xaverian – St Peters Game

A very close game through halftime looked like St Peter's was ready to take over with a defensive presence in the third quaters holding Xaverian to only 2 points. The start of the fourth quarter seemed like the clippers figured some things out. They relentlessly attacked the rim off the bounce. [player_tooltip player_id='2351298' first='David' last='Duncan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2234123' first='Terrence' last='Belizaire'] took turns in posting 4 point spurts on their own. [player_tooltip player_id='2361241' first='Kyle' last='Robinson'] got into the act getting into lane and getting fouled scoring a total of 5 points to pull them within 2 points 53-51. Next it was [player_tooltip player_id='2794197' first='Christian' last='Hinestroza']'s turn with 1 minute to go he grabbed a big offensive rebound and went to the foul line converting 2-2 to give Xaverian a 56-53 three point lead with 7 seconds to go. Coming out of a timeout St Peter's excecuted a perfectly run play to get an open three for Nico Parlanti who was outstanding all game showing off his pull up game , hewas fouled on this play and calmly went to the foul line and hit all 3 free throws to send the game into OT. Very good vision finding the open man off the bounce.
