OHSAA Division II Rankings: 2-4

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The OHSAA basketball regular season is about 75% complete so it's a perfect time to update our rankings in each Division, this article spotlights Division II, the second biggest Division in terms of enrollment.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">1. Lima Sr (13-1)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Spartans lone loss came in a thriller Vs the top team in the state. With a massive showdown with one of the top Division III programs in Trotwood-Madison coming up on Friday and then a neutral court game Vs one of Michigan's best programs in East Kentwood, the Spartans have their hands full this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2. Westerville North (14-1)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Warriors have been quietly dominating the competition with blowout wins over rival Westerville South, Saint Ignatius and Westland to continue the tear they've been on. They'll face Lima Sr in a pre-tournament test in February.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. Winton Woods (14-0)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Still unbeaten with recent marquee wins over Bishop Hartley and Northmont, Winton Woods has Lakota East and Indy Cathedral left in their non-conference schedule with open dates to add more tests before tournament time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">4. Massillon Washington (14-1)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I got to see the Tigers in person on Sunday and got to see firsthand how quickly they can rack up points. This team has depth and they try to run every opponent out of the gym.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">5. Brecksville (16-0)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bees continue to dominate Suburban League play and have won their last five games by double-digits. This team seems similar to the North Royalton squad that won a region last season in Division II.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6. Toledo St John's (13-5)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Playing in arguably the toughest league that includes OHSAA teams, the Titans are certainly battle tested so far. They have the Detroit Catholic League tournament starting this weekend as they'll look to make a run.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">7. Toledo St Francis (9-6)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An overtime win on a neutral floor over Elyria was crucial as the Knights continue to challenge themselves on a nightly basis both in and out of conference play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">8. Euclid (12-6)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Panthers hit a little skid dropping back-to-back contests snapped a six game winning streak that featured wins over Medina, Mentor and Reynoldsburg.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">9. North Canton Hoover (12-5)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The win over Massillon Washington is certainly one of the best among any Division II teams this season. Unfortunately for the Vikings, they've lost their last three close games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">10. New Albany (9-5)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We'll see if wins over Gahanna and Solon help jump-start a New Albany squad that has the talent to compete for a regional title if things can start clicking again.
