Cook has been solid every time I’ve seen him this spring and summer. He’s a STRONG player who put his shoulder into defenders and moved them where he wanted them. Just good old fashioned power buckets! But that wasn’t all of his game. Cook could step out on the perimeter and take and make triples. Perhaps the most impressive part of his game was his passing from the perimeter. Cook went over the top of the defense with the pass and always looked toward the rim with it.

I was impressed with Cook’s game earlier this spring when I saw him with the PRE Hoops team. He was a power player that could play off contact. Cook showed the ability to power up between or through defenders. This made him really dangerous working off the high post.

The wing from Whitmer will be playing with PRE Hoopz. This will be my first chance to see him play, but from what I’ve heard, he can be dangerous with the ball on the wing. Cook can catch and attack in 1 motion and is especially strong finishing on the right.
