Central Virginia continues to produce a deep pool of college-level basketball talent, and the 2027 class is already showing impressive promise. Across the region, a number of juniors are emerging with strong production, versatility, and long-term upside while playing key roles for winning programs. Here's a look at some of the top 2027 standouts in Central Virginia who are building momentum and positioning themselves as priority prospects going into the next recruiting cycle.    Jones is averaging 5 points and 5 rebounds per game for one of the top teams in the state while playing a valuable role in a winning rotation. A two-sport athlete, he is a strong, highly physical wing who competes with a nonstop motor. Most of his offensive production comes inside the arc, where he uses his strength and activity to finish plays. He is also a productive rebounder at both ends of the floor, adding toughness and extra-possession value.     Carter is a strong, athletic slashing wing who is at his best attacking the rim and finishing in transition. He consistently pressures the defense with his downhill style and physicality. Carter also adds value as a defender and rebounder, impacting the game beyond scoring.     Curley is the Saints' second-leading scorer at nearly 11 points per game and continues to expand his offensive impact. The lanky, left-handed wing is very effective at getting past defenders and into the paint, where he creates scoring opportunities. He is an improving perimeter shot-maker, adding more balance to his game. With his length and size, Curley also projects as a defensive asset on the wing.
