Every year during high school basketball, Houston becomes a recruiting metropolis for colleges looking to bolster their rosters towards the next season. Several unsigned seniors still loom in the city this season and lots of them are making cases as to why they should be receiving attention from the collegiate ranks. Let's dive deeper into examining the games of some of my heavily ranked unsigned seniors left on the board!

Daryus is one of my top unsigned seniors in Houston based off the way he plays the game. An athletic and physical wing, he has great leaping ability above the basket and competes hard on defense, whether it is on the perimeter playing passing lanes or blocking shots above the rim. His motor is relentless in transition, and he is not afraid to take tough shots.

One of the most skilled playmakers available in the class of 2026, JK makes reads and has great court awareness from the point guard slot. His jumpshot is underrated as he can make the defense pay when left open and his transition game is efficient as he makes good decisions with the basketball in his hands. He has good speed on offense and plays a great pass-first point guard role.

Sean is one of the defensive focal points for the Seven Lakes Spartans and he can get momentum-changing steals in a hurry. He is a good 3 and D player and always knows his role on both ends. Sean is also a vocal leader even when he is on the bench and his energy is uptempo every game throughout the whole contest.

One of the more physical defenders on Grand Oaks, Morgan keeps up physical aggressiveness on defense constant throughout every game and helps them maintain perimeter lockdown. Luzey can shoot a consistent three-ball if left open and drives to the rim, often finishing through tough contact. I like Morgan's hustle for loose balls and willingness to put his body on the line for hustle plays.

During his time with the Cy Springs Panthers, Ife has made a living above the rim on both offense and defense. He blocks shots with precision and ease around the basket and can switch onto perimeter players when needed coming off screens. He is a primary lob threat for Springs in the paint and often gets to the free throw line because of mismatches underneath. Bolaji is good in the pick and roll game and can finish well in transition also.

Chris is a great combo guard and wing presence for St. Pius X as he continues to produce this year and show he can compete at a high level. He scores from all three levels and is unselfish with the ball in his hands, always willing to defer to open teammates. Reed uses his size and wingspan at the guard/wing slots to score over smaller defenders and get opportunities at the foul stripe and for open looks on the perimeter and in the midrange.

Jayden is probably the most physical forward in the paint I have watched this season as he is great at taking advantage of mismatches and bullies his way to the basket for easy looks. During one game I watched, Jones had about 10 trips to the free throw line and cashed in over 70% of those opportunities. He is an immovable force on defense and knows how to not bite on pump fakes at the rim and grabs second chance rebounds for his team at a constant rate. I like Jayden's ability to run his lane in transition and his field goal percentage stays efficient as he takes smart shots on offense and doesn't force anything if it's not open.
