Basic found a plethora of ways to put the ball in the basket and consistently put pressure on the defense whenever he was on the attack. He did an excellent job touching the paint, forcing defenders to collapse, and creating opportunities both for himself and his teammates. His aggressiveness also earned him trips to the foul line, where he was able to capitalize on scoring chances. In addition to attacking the rim, Basic knocked down a few three-pointers while playing off the ball, showing that he can be an effective floor spacer when defenses lose track of him. He also displayed solid court vision, connecting with teammates for scoring opportunities and making the right reads when defenses converged on him. Defensively, his low center of gravity and quick hands allowed him to come up with steals and create transition opportunities. Basic impacts the game in a variety of ways and brings a well-rounded skill set to the floor. His ability to score, facilitate, and generate turnovers makes him a valuable piece on both ends of the court. Based on his production and versatility, he should be a priority target for programs at the small-college level.

Basic offensive arsenal was seen throughout connecting on shots from all three levels. I like how he was able to convert chances at the foul line. He added 20 doing most of his damage in the 1st half. Basic was kind of held in check during the 2nd half of the game by North Catholic. He should be a priority recruit for small colleges across western Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Really liked how Basic was able to use his floor game throughout the game. He has no issues getting to different spots and scoring using his in-between game. Basic connected on two threes. He did most of his damage in the first half. Basic had a few assists. I feel like when Rajkovich started to guard Basic he struggled to get separation due to his size and length advantage and shots he could normally get off on a smaller defender he couldn’t accomplish when a forward was guarding him. He kind of ran out of gas in the 2nd half and only had 6 total points.

Basic has a crisp handle and keeps the ball on a string. He is a threat to make shots off the basketball from deep and has extended range. I like that he has no qualms about using his in-between game when needed. Basic is effective at the foul line and converts on his chances. He has no issues pushing the ball up the floor and finding shooters. Basic struggles on the defensive end and needs to improve his foot speed.
