About Abe
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’d say my game is competitive and team-first. I play with a lot of energy on offense and defense. I like driving to the basket, making smart passes, and working hard on defense. I try to use my effort and game sense to help my team win.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’d say I have a positive and hard‑working mindset. I like to stay focused, compete, and keep getting better. I don’t give up easily, and I try to be a good teammate who lifts others up.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Right now, I play for Hidden Gems Brown, but the team was already full when I joined. That’s why I’m looking for a stable team to stick with for the spring, summer, fall, and hopefully all the way through high school until I graduate in 2030. Outside of basketball, I’ve been involved in a few school clubs and have earned some classroom awards for good grades and effort
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I started playing soccer when I was 5, and I played in i9 Sports where I won a few MVP and sportsmanship awards. Playing soccer helped me build teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. It also taught me how to stay positive and support my teammates, no matter what sport I’m playing now.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
A big challenge I faced was right before my middle school basketball tryouts. The day before the final tryout, I fractured my arm and just had my cast removed. It was tough because I couldn’t play my best, and I think that’s part of why I didn’t make the team. The year before, I was living in Elgin, Illinois, so I was also adjusting to a new school. Even though it was hard, I stayed positive and k
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a big, high-level college with strong sports and good academics. I really like schools like Ohio State and Penn State since my parents went there, and I’m also interested in big basketball schools like Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas. I want a school with good coaching, great facilities, and a strong campus atmosphere where I can grow as a student and an athlete.
