Prep Hoops Missouri introduces you to some New Names of talented guards who we watched at the Current River Challenge, which was held at Van Buren High.

Bo Bollinger (Greenville): A 6'0" 202 guard who scored a game-high 20 points in the Bears' victory over Summersville. He showcased his shooting stroke from distance as he made several 3-pointers. His movement without the ball was very good as he was relocating to open spots to make himself available.

Eli Hequemberg (Twin Rivers): A 6'0" 2027 guard who was a picture of constant motion, especially on the defensive end. He is a ball hawk on defense who is a threat to get a steal if he was in sniffing distance of the basketball. He was also relentless on the attack as he probed for open driving lanes to the basket. His runner in the lane was very effective and he was knocking down open 3-pointers. He never took a play off as his energy was limitless.

Eli Cotter (Bakersfield): A 6'2" 2027 guard who led his team to a victory over Kennett. He gave Bakersfield the lead to stay in the fourth quarter on a Corner 3-pointer, which was part of a personal seven-point run at that key juncture of the game. He is a high-energy player who was constantly getting downhill on the drive. He had a nice cross-over move to split a double-team to get a bucket in the lane. He is also a good rebounder from the guard position.

Hayes Townsley (Van Buren): A 6'1" 2026 guard who is a high-energy player who made things happen at both ends of the court. He was very active at the top of the full court press with his ability to get deflections and steals. His athleticism and good instincts seemed to put him wherever the ball was. He can slash in the lane on the drive and he also hit an open 3-pointer from the corner.

Ty Cotter (Bakersfield): A 5'11" 2027 point guard who plays the game with a lot of energy and a good amount of swag to go along with it. He is fearless with his aggressive takes to the basket and he can also knock shots down from 3-point range. He has a nice stop and pop turnaround jumper in the lane off the hard dribble. He also guards with tenacity as he moves his feet and will chest up on the opposing ball handler to show him that's he's there.

Cash Franklin (Kennett): A 2027 guard who has the right first name because he was cash money from 3-point range in the game against Bakersfield. The thick-bodied guard was very good when he got his feet set and also when he got out in transition to hit the triple on the move. He does a good job of moving and screening to get himself open. He is a good communicator on the court as he directs traffic on the court when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2809918' first='Will' last='Parker'] (Twin Rivers): A 6'1" 2027 guard with good speed and who liked to push the tempo on the break. He can go on the straight line drive and he can also change speeds with an effective hesitation move to get into the lane. He distributes the ball very well with good court vision.

(Bo Bollinger photo courtesy of Big 3 Athletics)
