Miles expertly orchestrated the offense for St. Aug from start to finish. He scored 15 points and assisted on numerous occasions. Having a point guard who can control the pace of the game is essential for next-level success, and Miles is a true coach on the court. He doesn't take many shots, but he ensures points are scored. His primary offensive weapon is the floater, and he works to get both feet in the lane. Once he's there, the magic happens. He delivers accurate passes to open shooters, finds cutting teammates, or finishes with the floater. He excels in the open court and displays creativity with the ball. Great game by Miles.

Taylor is listed at 6'1", but he appears bigger in person, and his game is certainly bigger than his height. He has a college-level physique and uses it to impose his will on the court. He possesses the handles to be a next-level point guard and has the off-the-ball skills to play at the wing position. He has a great first step and uses his quickness and speed to beat defenders. His size allows him to finish easily through contact at the rim, and he is consistent with both hands. His 23-point game looked effortless, and his stock is sure to rise this season, especially as he continues to stack these types of performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543656' first='Devin' last='Houston'] was impressive in his game, scoring 13 points and knocking down several three-point shots, showcasing his versatility and athleticism. His handle has improved, making him a threat on the ball, and he has become more aggressive offensively. Although Denham Springs was short-handed, Houston was definitely a bright spot for his team. His skill set makes Denham dangerous all over again this season. Look for a big season from Houston after this weekend's first game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2218442' first='Tyshawn' last='Duncan'] is the #1 player in the state, and as soon as he steps on the court, his skill, energy, and effort make him stand out as a future star at the next level. He has the size, IQ, and skill to excel at any program in the nation. He's particularly effective around the rim, capable of finishing on both sides. His increased shooting efficiency reflects the hard work he put in during the offseason and his desire to be more than just a big man. He wants to be a skilled player. Alexandria Senior High will be a top team in the state, and Duncan will be their leader.

Kobe Dantzler is a supremely confident guard on the court. Watching him play consistently reminds me to pay more attention to the Hannah program. In a time when the line is drawn between pure hoopers and basketball players, few can walk the fine line between flash and style, volume and efficiency. Dantzler is a true gamer who embodies the spirit of Louisiana basketball players. He works hard on both ends of the floor, competes on every possession, and is never intimidated. With a football-like frame, he moves the court with the agility of a running back. He can go around defenders or weave through the defense with equal efficiency making him a tough cover for
