The High School season is on the horizon. We will talk about the stars and centerpieces a lot as the high school season gets going. This article will focus on the role players and the glue guys who can make the teams go. Every team needs them, and the truth is, when the stars cancel each other out, the role players are the ones who can make all the difference in a win or a loss. Let's take a look at a few who could make an impact this season.       Guerrier can knock down the three-ball at a high clip. His ability to space the floor, get quality looks, and be a reliable catch-and-shoot threat will make him a valuable piece to the puzzle as he heads into his sophomore season. Guerrier is also smart, poised, and will put the ball on the ground and use his floater or look to move the ball quickly on drives and kicks. He is getting better as an interior passer and sees the floor well. He should be a key contributor this season.     Baltazar is a small guard with a scorer's mentality, and he's in the right program to thrive. He has the potential to be a key contributor to their success. A ball-dominant player with an aggressive mindset, he's capable of shooting from the perimeter and attacking the rim. Once he learns to balance playmaking with scoring, he can unlock even more of his offensive potential. To truly stand out, he'll need to put in more effort on defense and compete hard as an undersized guard aiming to reach the next level.     Mobley is a small, compact guard with a solid and sturdy base. When he uses his body effectively, he can carve out space to get to his spots. He's a streaky but willing shooter and an unselfish player who looks to make the easy pass or advance the ball when possible. While not particularly fast, he gives maximum effort when on the court. He has the potential to be a quintessential rotation piece. To reach his full potential, he needs to improve as a ball handler and refine his defensive techniques. However, with his skill set and the school he's at, he should have plenty of opportunities to make an impact.     Chambers is a versatile player who puts in great effort and is highly coachable. He can effectively switch and guard positions 2 through 5, and he's a strong rebounder. He consistently finishes layups and, while he doesn't shoot often, he can hit open shots. His presence will be felt on the boards with put-backs and by bringing energy and effort to inspire his team. Though quiet, he's a great teammate with natural leadership qualities.     Burton is a guard who is best off the ball, catching the ball in space with the ability to make a quick decision. He is good at spacing the floor can knock down the three at a reasonable rate. He can also be a good secondary ball handler. He is smart, anticipates well, can play the passing angles, and just makes winning plays. He will have to figure out how to maintain his aggressive nature without picking up unnecessary fouls. As long as he can stay poised, he should see time and in significant spots.     Davenport, at first glance, seems like he could seamlessly fit into a 3-and-D role. He has solid shooting mechanics, confidently shoots the three, helps space the floor, and relocates effectively. Defensively, he has the potential to be a strong point-of-attack defender but might be better utilized as a team defender who funnels his man into help. He plays with effort, absorbs coaching instructions well, keeps his energy high regardless of time and score, and should have opportunities to make an impact this season.
