LONG BEACH — The Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp brought together 129 underclass players from nine different states to McBride high school for a two-day showcase event. There was a strong mix of guards, wings and bigs to keep a close eye on over the next 3-to-4 years. Below we detail the top forwards and centers we watched Saturday and in the Top 30 and Top 60 games.

Aiden Kindrick | 2028 | Eagle (ID)

Kindrick was one of the more active prospects on both ends of the floor throughout this event. At 6-feet-4 with a live body and good athleticism, Kindrick made his mark as a multi-positional defender, high rate offensive and defensive rebounder and strong transition lane filler and finisher around the basket. Kindrick also flashed the ability rebound the defensive glass and push the break.

Braylon Sherwood | 2029 | Chaminade

Sherwood jumped on our radar the weekend before at the Ron Massey Fall Hoops Classic and he carried that impressive momentum into the frosh/soph camp. The valley-based forward is versatile on both ends of the floor as his combination fo strength, athleticism and skilled finishing allow him to impact the offensive end as a slasher and finisher around the basket. Sherwood makes timely cuts and uses his strong frame to absorb contact and score in the painted area.

Leo Onishchenko | 2028 | Adrian Nelson (OR)

Onishchenko is a skilled four-man who, at 6-feet-7, has the ability to stretch the floor with off-catch three-point shots or attack a closeout, put the ball on the floor, and create shots for himself or teammates. Onishchenko' combination of size, length, skill and fluid athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect to track in the Pacific Northwest.

[player_tooltip player_id='2639549' first='Mamadou' last='Issa Sow'] | 2029 | CIA Bella Vista (AZ)

Sow has all the tools you look for in a young big man who is bound to receive high major interest. At 6-feet-10, the freshman center has the physical and athletic tools to impact the game on both ends, inside and outside. Defensively, Sow is agile when containing ball handlers on the perimeter and uses his length and quick first jump to contest and alter shots around the rim. Offensively, Sow is a mobile rim-runner with good hands and his quick pop off the floor allows him to finish above the rim. He also has the ball skills and coordination to handle on the perimeter and break defenders down off the bounce. Sow earned Co-MVP of the Top 30 game.

Marceles Duncan | 2028 | Rangeview (CO)

Duncan was one of the more physical forwards in this event and his bully-ball style of play worked well because he was also one of the more strong and athletic players in the gym, as well. At 6-feet-5 with a well-built frame, Duncan was a tough cover in transition where he was able to get downhill to his right hand and finish through or over contact. Duncan was also a versatile defender who made an impact on the offensive and defensive boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574699' first='PJ' last='Parker'] | 2028 | McClatchy

Parker was named the overall camp MVP and it was deserved as he jumped out as the best long-term prospect in the event. At 6-feet-9 with a long, wiry frame, Parker brought consistent production to both ends of the floor throughout the weekend. The Sacramento-based sophomore is a fluid and coordinated athlete who showed impressive touch with either hand around the rim. His ability to score in the lane with a simple jump hook stood out as one of his best offensive traits. Defensively, Parker's size, length and defensive instincts made him one of the better rim protectors in the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574808' first='Ruach' last='Gony'] | 2029 | CIA Bella Vista (AZ)

Gony is the true definition of a wing/forward type of prospect as his combination of size, length and fluid and explosive athleticism made him one of the most effective defenders and transition finishers that we saw over the weekend. Gony used his length and quick-twitch athleticism to get into passing lanes for tips and steals that resulted in highlight-reel type finishes on the break. Gony also showed the ability to stretch the floor to the three-point line and break defenders down in isolation and score at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432574' first='Terrance' last='Byrd'] | 2028 | Sandra Day O'Connor (AZ)

Byrd was a physical and high motor presence on both ends of the floor and it resulted in him being a productive force in each game he played in. The 6-foot-6 forward sought out contact on his drives to the rim and used his strong frame to absorb and finish through through bumps. Byrd was aggressive when attacking the rim in transition and half-court offense and showed that he has explosive athleticism to go along with the physical play he brings to the table. Byrd was one of the better in-traffic rebounders that we watched and he finished with 12 points and six boards in the Top 30 game.

Troy Arthon | 2028 | Chaminade

Arthon is trending up as a stretch forward prospect whose combination of size and shooting ability will make him one to track out of the valley for the next three seasons. The 6-foot-7 forward is a "true" three-point shooting threat with smooth mechanics, a high release, tight rotation and great balance throughout his form. Arthon had a standout performance in the Top 30 game with 13 points on 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-2 from three.
