Pro Net Sports: 2025 Back to School League- Top Players 14/15U

The high school kids came to play over the weekend! Scoring and making plays were the name of the game for this bunch.    Luca is the prototypical point guard who led his team with play-making and strong leadership. He flawlessly facilitated the Indy Hoops 10th Black offense with control and precision. Luca had a knack for finding his teammates with timely passes. Most of his assists led to positive outcomes for the team. He's an excellent ball handler who easily gets around defenders and scores. Luca plays with a fearless mentality. He pressures opposing defenders by staying in “attack mode” for the duration of the game. In the closing moments of the game, Luca showed the ability to make clutch shots. In a tightly contested game against Hickory HS Red, he nailed a big-time three to give his team the lead. I expect Luca to have a monster Sophomore season this fall. He finished the game with (10 points, 5 assists, 3 steals)     I appreciated the energy this young man showed Saturday afternoon. Cooper is a big-time shooter! He shoots the ball with no hesitation. After watching him, I saw a player who is completely confident in his shooting ability. He was great at finding ways to free himself for good looks at the basket. Whether it was running around screens or using the dribble, Cooper found a way to get his shot off. He's the type of player who catches fire once he sees a couple of shots go down. There was a period in the game where the team needed a boost. Cooper nailed a three-pointer and yelled out. I believe his energy pumped up his teammates, which ultimately led to Indy Hoops 10th Black winning the game. Cooper finished the game with five three-pointers.     Quinn was the best player on the court in their match-up against Indy Hoops 10th Black. He's a great scorer, passer, rebounder and defender. This young man literally did everything for his team. Quinn was the leading assists man and scorer for Hickory HS Red. In most circumstances, he was the primary ball handler who initiated the offense. Quinn is the player who does all the “dirty work” for the team. Whether it's setting screens, fighting for rebounds, taking charges or diving for loose balls, he was all over the court. Offensively, he attacked the basket and made tough shots through contact. This led to multiple three-point play opportunities from the foul-line. Quinn shocked me with his ability to make three-pointers. I only saw him as a slasher and play-maker. In the later parts of the game, he knocked down three of them. Quinn is a great all around player with a bright future ahead of him.     Braydhan is a talented scorer! He's great at getting to the basket. In the match-up against Indy Hoops 10th Black, Braydhan scored in a variety of ways. Whether it was beating opponents off the dribble, knocking down mid-range shots or extending his range beyond the arc, Indy Hoops 10th Black had no answers for him defensively. Whenever Braydhan had one-on-one match-ups, he immediately went to work on the opposition. These circumstances often led to him scoring or assisting teammates with pin-point passes. Whenever Hickory HS Red had the opportunity to score in transition, Braydhan always finished strong. On defense, he played great on the perimeter. His on-ball pressure forced numerous turnovers and mistakes from opposing players. Braydhan is a great all-around player who is destined to have a big year his Freshman season.     Adam is the kind of player who does all the "hustle work" for his team. Whether it's rebounding, scoring or defending, he always managed to be around the basketball. He used a quick first-step to easily get by defenders. This led to scores for himself or assists for his teammates. Adam did not mind battling opposing players for rebounds in the paint. He often scored by attacking the basket and making tough shots. When there was an opportunity to knock down perimeter shots, he knocked them down. If there was an all hustle team, Adam would be the catalyst! Defensively is where he shined the most. He's an excellent on-ball defender who forced multiple turnovers. Adam showed toughness by defending larger players in the post. He blocked a shot and displayed enough strength to not be taken advantage of. Adam will become a serious scoring threat as he continues to develop offensively.     I enjoy watching the smallest players have the biggest impact on the court. Colin is a fiery player who handles the ball and scores tough baskets. This young man is a play-maker! He's a great passer who showed a knack for finding teammates cutting down the lane or beating their opponents off the ball. Whenever they did, Colin hit them with accurate passes that led to easy scores. He has elite ball handling skills. Colin used these skills to easily get into the lane and make plays. Opposing defenders were no match for his speed and quickness. He constantly attacked opposing defenders and scored in the paint. Whenever he attempted a floater, more than likely it was going in. On defense, he pressures opposing guards the full length of the court. Colin forced numerous turnovers and came away with multiple steals. He's an excellent point guard who I expect to have a great season this fall.
