2025 PH Oregon Freshman Showcase – Team Eight Scouting Reports

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PrepHoops Oregon Freshman Showcase took place on Sunday morning, and many of the state's top incoming high school players were at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA for some high-level competition. This week, we take a look at our scouting notes for each roster and break down this huge crop of talent, player by player. Here's a look at Team Eight:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2952349' first='Jalen' last='Gray'] (2029 West Salem)</strong> – Jalen showcased he was a natural scorer with a true three-level game. Gray created his own shot with ease, attacked the rim, and knocked down jumpers consistently. He also showed good vision in transition, finding teammates when defenses collapsed. Jalen also displayed his quickness on the fast break and athleticism contesting shots and battling for rebounds. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2722630' first='Ibsa' last='Dejene'] (2029 Centennial)</strong> – A confident floor general who impressed with his passing ability in the time we saw. Dejene played with poise, made the right reads, and kept teammates engaged offensively. Dejene and Zagwe are going to be a nice guard combo going forward at Centennial this coming year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2888684' first='Zagwe' last='Eskias'] (2029 Centennial)</strong> – A reliable knockdown shooter who made the most of his opportunities. Though we didn't get to watch him extensively, Eskias looked comfortable on the floor and showed a strong work ethic. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2947227' first='Cam' last='Richardson'] (2029 Clackamas)</strong> – Cam showcased his skills as a crafty guard with a deceptive handle. Richardson's shiftiness off the dribble created space, and his quick-release three-point shot was a reliable scoring weapon. He also wasn't afraid to attack the rim, making some tough finishes as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2910117' first='Adrian' last='Zacarias'] (2029 Ridgeview)</strong> – Though his offensive touches were limited, Zacarias stood out with his movement without the ball. He consistently found openings, cut effectively to the basket, and finished efficiently around the rim. Adrian did show his range as he knocked down some nice shots from the 3PT line. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2792005' first='Brody' last='Domnich'] (2029 South Eugene)</strong> – One of the most polished ball-handlers at the Freshman Showcase. Domnich broke down defenders off the dribble, created scoring chances for himself and others, and showed toughness finishing through contact at the rim. In the game we watched Brody, he scored 22 Points and had 5 Assists. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2910098' first='Khaiden' last='Phoeun'] (2029 Clackamas)</strong> – A versatile shot-maker who can score from all areas of the floor. Phoeun's unique ability to adjust his release mid-air... even releasing on the way down at times... made him a difficult cover. We noticed that Khaiden could also be efficient with both his left and right hand, making shots around the rim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2950704' first='Jay' last='Rosenzweig'] (2029 Trinity Lutheran)</strong> – Even though we didn't get to see much of Jay, he proved he was an effort-driven player who thrived off movement. Rosenzweig cut hard, created easy scoring chances, and consistently positioned himself to make an impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
