2028 Rankings: 26-30 Evaluation

<p>This week we released our very first Top 50 rankings for Southern California's class of 2028. The class brings a good mix of players from athletic and skills forwards to dynamic point guards and high scoring off-guards and wings. Below we break down prospects who landed the 26 through 30 spots.</p>   <h4 class="wp-block-heading">No. 26 [player_tooltip player_id='2750223' first='King' last='Johnson'] | Warren</h4>    <p class="text-gray-700">When it comes to playing with a combination of smooth pace combined with a strong, physical frame, few prospects in this class blend those as well as Johnson does. The burly 6-foot-1 point guard is an efficient pull-up jump shooter off the bounce who mixes his finesse skill with the ability to bully his way to the rim, initiate and finish through contact in the paint.</p>    <h4 class="wp-block-heading">No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id='2750235' first='Kyle' last='Sanders'] | Campbell Hall</h4>    <p class="text-gray-700">True big men always seem to be late to develop and that could be the case with Sanders. The sophomore, who is pushing a legitimate 6-feet-10, is a fluid and mobile athlete who uses his combination of size, length and defensive timing to be an effective rim protector. His calling card right now - and key to playing extended minutes this season - will be how he can control the painted area defensively. Sanders is still a very raw offensive prospect but has some tools that show promise for the future.</p>    <h4 class="wp-block-heading">No. 28 [player_tooltip player_id='2948289' first='Gavin' last='George'] | Windward</h4>    <p class="text-gray-700">George thrives in a variety of settings because of his combination of high motor and energy with his strong frame and willingness to use it to his advantage. George is highly effective when getting downhill to his left hand in transition and half-court offense and is a freight train type of athlete when he gets a full head of steam. When George gets a step on his defender and lowers his shoulder, there aren't many defenders who can keep him out of the lane.</p>    <h4 class="wp-block-heading">No. 29 [player_tooltip player_id='2750200' first='Aiden' last='Shaw'] | Bishop Amat</h4>    <p class="text-gray-700">Shaw is an under-appreciated prospect on the state and extended regional level and that's probably because he doesn't play for a powerhouse high school and runs with an independent club program. Nevertheless, shining a spotlight on this point guard is easy because of the way he plays his position with control, confidence and natural leadership. The wiry 6-foot-1 point guard is your prototypical extension of the coach on the floor who makes high IQ decisions, uses his speed and quickness to earn paint touches and manages scoring and distributing well.</p>    <h4 class="wp-block-heading">No. 30 [player_tooltip player_id='2484213' first='Nick' last='Wallace Jr.'] | Arcadia</h4>    <p class="text-gray-700">What I really like about Wallace's game is his ability to take it over as a scorer or as a playmaker. The 5-foot-10 guard uses his speed with the ball in transition to put pressure on defenses and is a savvy finisher around the rim despite his lack of true size and is also a knock down three-point shooter when his feet are set. Wallace's ability to touch the paint at-will, and use his threat as a paint finisher, forces defenses to respect that part of his game which opens up opportunities for him to use his vision and passing ability to create for others.</p>
